IMAX 2 -- plie squats

Just wanted to share my excitement. I am newer to Cathe -- have been doing workouts off of FitTV for several months and recently also ordered some DVDs. I have been doing IMAX 2 off of FitTV -- so while I know it is not the full 1 hour -- I do get about 45 minutes of the workout. When I first started doing IMAX 2 the intensity blast when you hop down the length of the step, do jacks, and then do 8 plie jacks -- it used to kill me!!! I couldn't get my feet to leave the ground on the plie jacks. Now, after only a couple of months I can do all of the plie jacks! And while my heart rate is up there and my legs feel the burn, I don't feel like I am going to pass out! Not wanting to brag -- just wanted to share my excitement in seeing progress!:)

Congratulations! You have done the dreaded Interval 9. That's the hardest one for me too. Great job! If you like plie jacks, interval 5 in IMAX 3 is really tough. I think there are about 56 in that one. Something to look forward to!

That is soo cool. I still have trouble with those. By that time my legs are so sore, I have a hard time jumping . But I love Imax 2 it is one of my favorites. I can't wait to get Imax 3. So are there really a lot of Plie squats in Imax 3? OHH man.

Yea, the pile squats in Imax 3 really kill me for some reason. There is a workout on the Extreme DVD that does this section earlier in the workout and it doesn't get me as much as when I do Imax 3 as produced.

Plie jacks are awesome - torture at first, but awesome training for the legs and heart. Congrats on mastering the dreaded Interval 9 - and yes, of course now you must segue to blast 5 in IMax 3 AND the Kick Max blast challenge.

I am so with you, it is very cool to see changes. They become like these milestones! I started Cathe with powermax, and was so winded I couldn't even make it through. After a long time of working with Cathe expanding out to other vids, I went back and did powermax and was amazed to find it too easy! So, I put a double riser on and I couldn't believe I could do the whole thing with a double riser. I'm not sure if I could do that now or not, I've lost a little of my gains. But, I am back working at it. And, hurrah to your accomplishment!!!!

Thanks, Chrissy! Now you have to go out and do some power shopping, as the Black Friday Pump-Up Mish-Mosh was created for the day after Thanksgiving, and you can't do things half measure!

Okay -- I did Kick Max for the first time. I couldn't complete all of the plie jacks in this one. My legs were burning. I was then blown away when she went into lunges where you jump to switch legs. These are KILLER! I also felt quite queasy about halfway through this Challenge Intensity Blast section. I had to pause the DVD several times in this section to catch my breath and stop myself from getting sick. I think part of my problem may have been that I ate a small breakfast about 30 minutes before starting the workout. I ate about 1/2 cup of granola with a couple of TBS of peanut butter. I usually work out in the mornings on an empty stomach, but this particular morning I was starving and didn't want to wait to eat or workout. At least I have something to work towards. Sometimes when I think that I am really strong and in the best shape, Cathe puts me in my place and reminds me that there is a lot of work to be done and improvements to be made!:)

Great job! I just did IMAX 2 last night, too, but I had to modify for some of those plie jacks! Whew....those are some toughies that's for sure.

Marcia.

Good for you:) I did Imax 2 last night and although I felt stronger with all the other blasts that Interval 9 -plie jacks kill me everytime. I ran out of gas doing those and they alway hurt my feet to the point of having to stop jumping.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing your progress. It's good motivation for those of use who still can't get our feet off the ground : )
