Crazy, Strong and Loving it for November 2014!!

I forgot to post my workout this morning. I got on my treadmill and did some up hill climbs along with using 3# weights in my hands to do bicep curls, lateral raises, shrugs, etc. Worked up a good sweat and got my HR up. I stayed on my treadmill for 40 minutes and did about 2 miles.

I got my PiYo workouts today, I will start them on Monday. Looking forward to it!!!!

I am all caught up with my workouts. LOL! Today I did Jessica 30 min Sunset Barefoot walk and SBF Standing abs and Mat workout for the lower = 30 min.

So what did you buy on Back Friday?

I went a a little to much money, lol! I bought Turbo Fire and all the Advanced DVD's, Slim Series and Les Mill Pump. I also bought P90X + for my son. My P90X dvd's came yesterday, they all scratched? Mary already requested a new set from BB.

I worked yesterday and wore my pedometer said I walked 9,995 steps. Went for a walk this morning with my mom before we take her home today the weather is nice right now.

Hi girls!

I just finished my last Body Beast workout for this round at least. I really enjoyed Body Beast and recommend it highly. I feel I did get stronger and my shoulders, legs, back, and arms are more defined and toned than ever before. I did not take supplements or any that other stuff. I will do more rounds of this in the future, it is awesome. I have read some criticisms that the warm up and cool down could be longer, if you find this to be true for you I'd recommend using Cathe's STS warm ups and extended stretches, or something along that lines. I usually did a HiiT workout before or did a Cardio Coach session on the Treadmill so that was not an issue for me. I didn't mind the beast talk it was kind of funny and cute. It is a great workout for women, so don't worry about what Sagi and the guys are lifting weight wise, just lift what is right for you I figure after STS and learning my one rep maximums I feel confident about what weights are the safe and right size for me. It was a fun rotation and I never felt any dread factor while doing it, it was fun and I did follow the Lean Beast rotation. I need to do probably 3 or 4 more rounds to really get the fab results I desire because I need to loose weight. I'm working on that and not giving up, not to worry. So ladies don't be afraid to try Body Beast I promise you won't suddenly get green skin and be angry and smash SUV's with your bare hands or anything like that. If you want that you would need to talk to Dr. Brue Banner, aka Hulk. LOL!!

Debbie- Great job on yesterday's workout great way to mix things up with the treadmill. Sorry I missed your post yesterday. YAY! on your PiYo workouts arriving, so cool. I know you said you plan to start using them Monday. I enjoyed previewing mine when I got them and it was fun to see how cool they were. Belinda- It sounds like you had fun with Beach Body's Black Friday sales and got some great stuff as gifts and for yourself. I find that BB uses the cardboard sleeves to ship there dvds in and I hate that. I have had mine arrive scratched or become scratched from taking them in and out of the sleeves. I now buy a CD case that zips closed and has an individual sleeve that has a cloth like back and clear thin vinyl type front for safe storage of dvds. So, now when I get BB dvd's I immediately check them for scratches and safely remove them from BB packaging sleeves and put them in my CD zip case. The Dvd's are safely stored and handy I think one case holds like 25 or 30 DVD's something like that. For instance my recent CD case/wallet now has PiYo dvds, Body Beast, and Ruthless as an example. I would highly recommend using the CD Wallet to store your workout dvd's in and you can choose to organize them however you like and makes it handy for travel too! I wish BB would start using those it would save them alot of money and hassle of having to replace and ship and reship of their workout programs. But either way I have found a way to protect my workout dvds investment with safe scratch free storage. I hope that you find this info helpful. So which calendar do I use? They both look the same on both front and back of the calendars they sent? Are they different? I need to look at them more closely, but to me they look the same. One says "STRENGTH", but it looks the same as the other one.

I can't wait to start this tomorrow! I watched "Align" and it's stuff I already know from yoga. I hope I don't get bored with this series. This looks like a good one, though.

Going to see the Hunger Games: Mockingjay I today. Can't wait!!!!

Nora - Congrats on finishing BB!!! I still would like to get that workout series as well. I may do that after Christmas.
 
Today I did the Define: Lower Body workout from PiYo. I liked the workout but it was so short, only 16 minutes. I need to add stuff to this, obviously. I started to sweat and then the workout was over. I think I will like this series, though. I feel good right now. Just need to add either the treadmill or a short weight lifting session before or after I do them. Some of the other workouts are 30 to 40 minutes which is good. But 15 minutes to me really isn't a workout. LOL!!!

Nora - the dvd's came stretched right out the box? Had nothing to do with me. BTW, I been using a binder for over 10 years now. How do you think I got my all dvd's in my carry one when we moved back and fourth from Germany:D I couldn't fit all my dvd's otherwise:oops: Congrats on finishing BB.

I am finally finishing the last week of the KCM rotation so it was Circuit Burn 2 today. I want to either do the spin bike later or the TM I spent time cleaning house.

Debbie-thats what I didn't like about the workouts they didn't last long so you didn't burn alot of calories I still need to try them again.

PiYo- Define Upper Body= 25 Min
MV= 5.0

Total calories burned= 556

Debbie- Congrats on doing PiYo Lower body Define. Yes, that one and Upper body Define are both short ones. I like to use PiYo after my cardio or after lifting weights as an excellent stretch. Now the PiYo Strength is about 22 minutes long and you don't need to do that in bare feet. I think you'll like the Sweat and Drenched workouts and they are named correctly they are 35 min and 48 minutes in length. I have Sculpt show at 26 minutes in length, Core is 30 min, Buns is 30 minutes, and Hard Core on the floor is 34 Min, Full Body Blast (Deluxe extra purchase workout 1 uses discs) is 30 minutes, and Strong legs (Deluxe extra purchase workout 2 uses discs) is 26 minutes in length both are more intense and will make you sweat. I personally like to do Define Lower Body after I do a Cardio Coach on TM, it feels amazing and take away soreness and pain, love it. The Stength PiYo Calendar uses all the basic set workouts plus the two extra purchase Full Body Blast and Strong Legs which both use the discs. I originally purchased just the basic set then after a week of doing them decided to order the two deluxe workouts as well. I'm glad I did they really round out the set and increase the intensity. I wish BB had included them in the set but you know how it goes. I don't regret my PiYo purchases at all. I find them to be most useful to use after cardio or strength workouts and there are enough of them to do every day and switch up the order I use them in. These are not big calorie burners which was a bit disappointing at first but now I see them as restorative or theraputic to use as add-on after doing cardio or strength or both at end of workout. I find that works really well for me and feels so amazing and take away pain or tightness, and that to me is worth a lot.;) Thanks on finishing Body Beast, it was fun and one I will do more rotations of in the future. I don't really gravitate toward strength workouts but have made myself stretch to broaden my fitness focus beyond cardio and found this to be fun and zero dread factor which really surprised me. I think you would like Body Beast its really great and if you got dumb bells and barbells, weight bench, or ball you got everything you need already. I chose to use weight lifting gloves for my own comfort and better grip, oh and I forgot to mention they use a yoga mat for ab work. I already had all that so I really liked that I didn't need to buy any additional equipment. Oops, I forgot that there are a few exercises that need a pull up bar or you can substitute as I did and used Beach Body Bands with door attachment. I recommend Body Beast its a keeper and one of my best BB purchases. Nice job with your first Pi Yo workout with Lower Body Define. The first Align, Lower Body Define, Upper Body Define are more to ease you into PiYo. Personally I only did Align once, I use all the others much more frequently and repeatedly. The others are more challenging and sweat tastic workouts not to worry. Enjoy your PiYo journey. ;):cool:
