~~~ Coolers in August ~~~~
Morning Coolers,
Today was yoga day so I spent some quality time with Tony and did One on One Fountain of Youth. :D
Kim, It really does seem like the house process is slow at first, but the shell of the house goes up pretty quick. :eek: Of course the longest is the inside gutts of the house. ;) Enjoy your time sans kids, you will just enjoy them more when they do come home. My girls enjoyed there time with my parents too, found out my oldest is a lot like my Dad in personality! :rolleyes: They are both sarcastic, and where shooting digs at each other all week. Yep some schools start in August, but our girls start on Sept 8th.
Patricia, Hope all is going well for you.
Have a wonderful day!
Yesterday after work, a couple of my workers and I decided to go out for drinks after work which led into dinner;) It was fun and since there were no kids at home to cook dinner for why not? DH ended up going with people from his work as well.
When I came home I did KPC, it felt so good to workout!
Laurie, my kids start Sept 8th as well. I see lots of back to school sales starting!
My kids come home this afternoon! I'm going to see if I can do groceries and a workout this morning before they get home.
We cancelled our camping trip fot this weekend for a number of reasons. I had planned for 9 weekends away in a row which is a lot. Then the kids got invited out to MIL's cottage so it would have been cut short as we were supposed to go Thursday evening. There is also lots of rain in the forecast and my eyes still don't like being outside too long. So we'll have a quiet weekend at home and then get back on our weekend getaways after that.
What's everyone else up to this weekend??
Morning Coolers,
Today's workout was This is TaeBo, and I really am feeling my shoulders right now. He does a long stretch where you keep your arms elevated for I swear 10 min. :eek: Overall a good workout, and a lot like the old TaeBo's that I really like.
Kim, What a great way to spend an evening for both you and your DH. It is always fun to do something like that. Probably a good idea to cancel the camping, let you eyes heal a little more. Glad you where able to get a workout in. My weekend is the same old same old, with the Ren Faire.
Have a great day!
How many more weekends left at the faire, Laurie??
I decided to spend the week working my way thorugh the BodyBlast dvds. SO did KPC Thursday and yesterday was Supersets. I'm surprised how sore I am today! Today will be Step, Jump and Pump.
Had fun hanging out as a family yesterday. Took ds to the bank to get his first bank card!:confused: Then DH made a great supper and we watched our football team lose (on tv)
Morning Coolers,
No workout for me this morning, just way to tired. I did get the Fit Test from Insanity done. No I'm not doing another Insanity rotation again, just like how Hiit the fit test is. :D Hope to feel more energetic later today to get in some weight work.
Kim, We have three weekends left, plus Labor Day. So that makes 7 days total. ;) The weather on Saturday was so hot, that everyone seemed to be crabby. Sunday was way better, but then the mosquitoes where horrible. :p That series is so good, I'm guessing your legs will be talking to you after Legs & Glutes too. :eek:
Have a great day!
Morning Coolers,
This morning I decided to change things up and do something total body with cardio. I purchased Jessica Smith's 10 Min. Solutions Ultimate Bootcamp, and this is a keeper for me. I did the option to play all of the workouts, so it started out with cardio bootcamp type moves. Some of the familiar, and some new to me. Total body came next, and this involved weights and cardio. Upper body could have used higher weights on the biceps moves, but could use the same weight while working the shoulders so opted for the lighter weights. Lower body was next and all exercises where non-weighted, but effective. Last was the abs, and did a lot of moves that where very different and fun. Lots of plank type moves, and the workout does require some space. Keeper for me.
Hope everyone has a great day!
Afternoon Coolers, as I cram some "Me" time in here at work. Just super busy here and at home. Finally got DH started in hanging pics on the walls Sunday. We went to the cottage but Sat. DS wasn't feeling well so we came home. He is better now. I've been busy trying to find daycare so my spare time has been spent interviewing. I think I might go with our next door neighbour but the oldest child she has is 3.5 so a little young for DS to play with. Plus I'm not sure if she does crafts and things with them. So other then the convenience of being next door I'm still in limbo. Just so frustrating. Been busy meeting the neighbours who all seem really nice.
DH is getting ready to go to another Nascar race this weekend - Bristol Tennesee. It will be nice to stay at home. I want to paint the basement floor so might try to get organized with starting that. (Have to find the paint brushes first though:eek:)
I've gone on a couple walks in the hood its been so nice out but still trying to fit in BBC when I can.
Sounds like life is moving on for everyone else.
Glad to hear Kim that your eyes are doing much better.
Oh, our house is still conditionally sold, financing to be wavied this Wednesday. So might have good news tomorrow!
Sounds like life is keeping you really busy Patricia! The convenience of next door day care would be great but what happens if things don't go well and you have to keep living beside them?
We drove past our new house yesterday and the next door neighbours had moved in this. (didn't meet them) In the driveway is a orange Duke of Hazards car with the numbers painted on the car and everything, and the other vehicle was a motorcycle:confused: so should be interesting to meet them. The vehicles had Ontario license plates.
Glad you liked the new workout dvd Laurie! You have some interesting workouts where do you buy them??
Sent my kids over to my sister's last night to hang out with their cousins. When I went to pick them up after work, somehow all 4 came home with me:rolleyes::rolleyes: Keeps them entertained I guess.
I was lazy yesterday and today workout wise. Going to get serious about things in a couple of weeks. Thursday we leave after work for a quick trip to Minneapolis. Saturday is dd's birthday and we're going to American Girl:D She is so excited! Tomorrow I have an eye appt and a hair appt in the evening so don't know if I'll get a chance to post again for a few days.
Wow, what a hectic evening I had! Came back from the Library (got DS his library card) at around 7pm and DH said our Real Estate Agent was emailing us a new offer from someone with no conditions and more $$ then our 1st offer that we have in "play".
Sounds like the 1st offer might go south as he is having trouble getting financing with out having his own house sold. He has asked for another extension but also moved the closing from Sept 30 to Sept 1. I think he might be in the middle of a deal selling his house but won't be in time for the bank.
I had run out of printer ink last night so off I go to the store to buy more but my printer is really old and I have a hard time getting the ink. Plus I would need to be able to fax or email signed documents back to the Agent last night so I ended up buying a new printer. All is good as back to school sales are on:p but took about 1hr to get it up and running.
So I had good intentions to w/o last night but by the time I got the 2nd offer printed, signed and scanned and emailed back it was after 9 + my Sister called to say she was offered a job that she went on a interview for last week so that took up time. Then my parents called to chat.
So not sure yet who we actually sold our house to yet today but its sold:). The 1st offer has to waive financing by 6pm today or the 2nd offer has to sign back his offer to us by 6:30pm tonight (after the 1st offer expires) Apparently there is a 3rd interested party but with these 2 on the table our Agent didn't pursue it. What's with all the interest all of a sudden:rolleyes:
DH is gone until Monday - off to Bristol Tennessee for Nascar with 3 other guys.
It'll be nice just to relax at home this weekend.
Kim - I hear you on the daycare. I thought the same thing so I've pretty much decided not to go with her. I've got another home daycare provider in "play" who can take DS and who would have 1-2 other kids the same age to hang out with. Its a short drive away and sort of on my way to work so I can't complain. I don't mind it when DS want's a playdate - keeps them both occupied while us Mothers can get things done or have time to ourselves. I love seeing DS having fun with other kids as he doesn't get that often being an only child.
Waving hi to Laurie
Congrats Patricia, what a relief!
Busy night here. After work I went for my eye appt where I scored 20/20 without glasses. :D My one eye does go blurry at times but that is expected for a few more weeks.
Then off to the hairdressor for colour and cut, it looks great. I hadn't gone in ages.
Then we heard that they had started framing our house so we had to drive over there to check it out, it looks great!:D So exciting.
Now it's 10 pm and I"m finally home and I have to pack. We're leaving right after work for a few days in the States. Doing some fun stuff for dd's birthday and doing some back to school shopping. The kids are super excited. I'll be back SUnday night.
Have a good weekend!
Morning Coolers,
Was super busy yesterday, so didn't have a chance to post. My workout was Amplify Your Strength with Kimberly Spreen. Todays workout was MTV's Yoga with Kristin McGee.
Patricia, Congrats on selling your house that is great news. I'm sure your DH will have a great time at Bristol, that is one of my favorite tracks to watch a race. Of course it is nice that you will have some time to relax at home. Daycare is such a hard choice to make, glad you may have found a good option.
Kim, Great news on your eyes, that has to be wonderful that you don't have to wear glasses anymore. Enjoy your back to school shopping, and of course the other shopping. ;) It will be a fun process to see your new house getting built.
Have a wonderful day!
Finally a lot less hectic evening. Went to the park after dinner with DS then home and got my w/o in. BBC - Red Fat Blaster UB along with Abs.
Hey, the RT video is up. I'm about 23sec in putting my name tag on at the registration table (wearing brown top). Brings back memories (Oh I also saw my tummy elsewhere but I won't point it out:p)
Morning BB's,
Today was BC/ME Bonus Combo, really enjoyed that one this morning.
Patricia, Glad your evening was less hectic, makes for a tough week when you are so busy. Lol about the belly, I wouldn't point out mine either. :eek:
Have a wonderful day and weekend,
What a wet and dreary weekend. :( Spent it mainly indoors which became expensive as I spent $$. Got curtains for our livingroom and mirror for our powderroom. Bought some new cookware that was on special and signed up for a Costco membership:D
Took DS to see Toy Store 3 in 3D yesterday and today to an in-door children's playground.
Managed to get my w/os in all weekend too! BBC - fat blaster w/os, along with his Mission Specialists for UB/LB and Abs. I can see following this program you could becomes overtrained. My PF is bothering me a bit along with my rotator cuff so doing extra stretching.
Off to eat a muffin that I baked earlier.
Hope you had fun shopping this weekend Kim
Morning Coolers,
No workout for me this morning, just not motivated. I'm thinking something light after work will be just the ticket.
Patricia, To bad about the rainy weekend, but sure sounds like you are getting that new house all situated. Did your DS enjoy TS3? My girls really enjoyed it. Sorry to hear that the BBS rotation is making your PF flare up.
Have a wonderful day!
Okay I posted a couple pictures of the house and one of dd at American Girl on her birthday. :D She was so excited to go for lunch at AG! It was all very cute, the doll got her own lemondae and ice cream served to her:rolleyes:Then dd had a blast shopping afterwards with birthday money that grandma's had given her. She bought her doll a wheelchair for only $30:rolleyes:
We had a great trip to Minneapolis! It is a 8 hour drive so quite a trek for a 3 day weekend. DH bought lots of clothes. The kids were great shoppers and I got them lots of clothes/school supplies. The enjoyed the hotel pool as well we went to The Waterpark of America (largest indoor water park) and also Nickelodeon Park (the amusement park in Mall of America). It was definitely a whirlwird 3 days but everyone had fun.
All these weekends away are fun but I am starting to crave some routine and I"ve been missing my workouts! I did check out the Scheel's store in Fargo, North Dakota on the way home and saw some of the Cathe's equipment. I bought the mat to go on the step.
Patricia, I got to check out your video clip when I get a chance! Is the house starting to feel like home??
Laurie Did you get a workout in this evening? Hard to exercise on a Monday morning. Where you're girls ever into the American girl thing??
Hey Kim - you should start a tradition that every pic you take of the house has someone standing there with their hands up in the air. Its cute in 2 of them:p:p Its starting to take shape eh! What a cute adorable daughter you have. Wow, I thought you jammed packed a lot into that trip. You need a break from your weekend:D
Just finished up BBC - Red Fat Blaster UB along with Mission Specialist LB.
Tomorrow is a rest day. I'm trying out a new hairdresser. Getting my roots touched up and a trim.
Laurie - Did you decide on a w/o tonight. Do you find if you w/o at night then you have a hard time the next morning getting another one in?:D I'm enjoying these BBCs - I think they're a good precursor to Hiits.
Morning Coolers,
Well no workout last night, but I was productive and folded laundry while watching episodes of Housewives of New Jersey! :rolleyes: After walking the dog, I just didn't have the motivation to do anything else. This morning I did Abs Diet for Women Workout, and this Intermediate workout was actually fun. It starts out with a very short warm up, and then has (2) ab sections. After that is an interval cardio that is stuctured just like Hiit Double Wave Pyramid. This one had a long run in place (that was a little tedious), but then went into the cardio of 30, 45, 60, 90, 60, 45, 30 sec. Inbetween these section was the running in place. The weight section I did with #8, and will go up in weights for the next time. This was a circuit so she did one exercise for each muscle, and then did the circuit again. It ended with a Pilates and Yoga section. I purchased this workout because of the instructor Jessica Smith, and I'm keeping it just for the ab, cardio and weight sections.
Kim, So glad that you and your family had such a great time on your shopping trip. My youngest DD has an AG doll, but she says in her coffin (that is what I call the box). DD doesn't want to play with her, because she doesn't want to mess her up. The doll does get a change of clothing every once in a while. :D The oldest wasn't a doll girl, she would rather have an rc car. ;)
Patricia, Glad you are enjoying those BBC workouts. Hope that hairdresser works out for you, so important to get someone who will listen or give you good advice.
Have a wonderful day!
I checked out the video and saw you Patricia! So what was your favourite workout class?? I would love to hear more about the weekend.
Oh, Laurie, we all have days we don't have the energy to workout or in my case weeks:eek: Today was another day of not working out. Life just seems so crazy out of routine. I swear next week (cause we're going away for the weeknd again) I'm starting cathe's September rotation whatever it is and doing the whole thing.
LOL, about the coffin. DD doesn't actually have an AG doll but a Canadian version called Maplelea dolls. Same size except Candian girls have bigger feet so they can't share shoes:rolleyes::rolleyes: Lots of the salesladies would realize that it wan't one of theirs and they were so curious to see her especially as she was dressed in a traditional Quebec outfit.
