Chins

Briee, I hope you aren't getting the flu :( Be careful with all of those vitamins. I tried that a few weeks ago and wound up with well a tummy problem to put it lightly.

I did legs and chins this evening followed by the cardio w/o that came with my incline risers. I did my 25 chins. Not all sets of 5 though :( I blame it on holding heavy wt on my back and lifting heavy BB for RDLs. Yes, I am full of excuses :+

Catherine...you did AWESOME. Doesn't matter if you did smaller sets of chins...you still did your 25. I'm going to do mine tomorrow - I'm just not doing too well (hope I can do them tomorrow!!!)

Briee

Just finished my 25 chins for the day, 75 total for this week. That is an achievement for me in the chinnin realm. Been really draggin in this area lately. Now I'm trying to get psyched for a workout tonight!! (I am not sick so far - really thought I was headed that way last night). I'm thankful.:7 :7

Hi ladies!

Yes, I'm still chinning. Did Legs & Back today. Did 3 chinups, 2 wide front pullups, 1 close grip overhand pullup and one shoulder width pullup.

Briee - Your ER story was too funny!

Catherine - Awesome numbers! I bow to you!

Good news - We sign the contract for our house today. With any luck, I'll be in GA mid-April.

Glad we're all getting STS. Can't wait for the next blog update and am curious to hear about the ab circuits DVD. I wish she would do some hanging ab work on the pull-up bar like Tony did. Those exercises really work me good.

My next biggest problem will be what color to paint my workout room. I'd like to have wood floors (I think it's carpeted right now.) I'll be getting mirrors for one wall. Have to get a dumbbell rack. The best thing is I won't have to cart my stuff in and out of the closet anymore.

Marcy, I am so jealous of your workout room!!!! I think you should install the aerobic flooring like Cathe has :p

I did 4ds upper body premix and pullups today. Oh, I forgot to say I got my iron woody bands and I love them. I guess I only needed the lightest one, but I got all three :+ I did wide grip pullups with the light band- I've never been able to do the wide front pullups on my own. It felt great. So I've done my 75 for the week. I will be doing pullups on Sunday again. Some unassisted and some assisted with the band.

Joanne, Marcy, you should think about getting the bands. They are awesome!!!

Briee, did your illness subside???

Just finished heavy legs. Whew!! I am stuck at 105# for squats x( I did 5 sets of 4 and 1 set of 5. I am doing them without the bar pad. Some experts say the bar pad is dangerous because it increases the risk of the bar rolling on your back. I had noticed that the heavier my wts got the more likely it felt like it was gonna roll. So I stopped using it last week. It is taking some getting used to. But you have to place the bar just right squeeze the back and puff out your chest for it not to hurt. Sorry to ramble. I am just amazed that I can place a bare 105 pound bar on my back when I used to couldn't even w/o with the 45 pound bar on my back without a pad.

Oh and I did 5 wide grip pullups with the band assist this morning. Loving that band. Gotta find a way to use it, but reduce the help it is giving me. Maybe I'll add some wt to myself.

DH and I are going to see Vantage point after while. So I'll be popping my airpopped popcorn and packing my coke zero :+ Saves $$ and calories!!
