Better "stability" ball :P

I have read many posts about the difficulty of the stability ball. (It makes me laugh to think of all of you rolling around on something that is called "stability" ball.) I purchased an hourglass-shaped ball that is great for ball work. It doesn't roll around as much and its contour allows for better ab work. I purchased it from QVC last year and it is a Denise Austin product (the only thing that I have kept from her). I don't know if it is still available, but it might be worth the search.

Have fun.

The stability ball does get earsier every time I use it, although I was thinking of it as the "instability ball" for the first few tries.

I found that by slightly underinflating it I could control it more, and as I improve, I'll pump it back up.

I think that part of the reason for using the round ball as opposed to the peanut shaped one is that you do get that extra challenge to all those helper and core muscles that are involved in stabilizing it. Plus there's the comic relief factor.
