When I did STS (just finished recently) I actually enjoyed doing kickboxing (and abs) the day after my STS leg day. Seemed to help loosen up my tight/sore leg muscles.

On the other days I did either Hiit or step for cardio along with abs.

Hope someone else will respond with more knowledge.
 
I am just starting STS 3.5 month rotation. I love to do kickboxing and boxing with heavy bag work for cardio, along with the LI cardio with light weights. If I do STS M W F, I feel I should be giving my arms and shd's a break in between, but all the cardio I like to do involves those area using light weights. Any suggestions?
