Morning Ladies!
I slept pretty good last night too...would of been great if dh hadnt been snoring big time....grrrrrrrrrrrr. I am not queasy yet either...and wanting eggs for breakfast..yayyy. I wonder when my bb's will stop growing..they are getting huge! I go the the dr on Thursday..Im nervous about it!
Bethary-wb! Wii fit is fun, but not a workout at all. DD likes it and dh and I have a ski jump competition going on, but I NEVER feel the least bit worked out....but it is fun.
dd is calling me..I will be back for personals.

Good morning Susan and everyone else.

Susan - I agree about trying to keep the eating under control. I gained 40lbs with my DD and I know it will be harder to take off this time. I'm due Oct 26. I'm going back to the Dr. next Tues. for results of my bloodwork. I know what you mean about taking prereqs early. I graduated w/my Bachelors in 1998 then I took my DH boards in 2000 so there were some classes (chem, biology, etc.) that I hadn't had in 5 years. But I love school too - I went back again in 2002 just because I wanted to.

Priscilla - the suspense is killing me:)

Bethany - I too would love to go on the road trip but obviously not practical for me now. I'm sure it will sell out in 30sec. since they're only having one. It is pretty funny how so many of us are linked to the dental field. How was the New Orleans night life?

Jen - when will you test? NKOTB - I never could decide who I thought was the cutest - probably Jordan. You'll have a blast-when's the concert?

Autumn - when you were getting the shots - did you get them in the abdomen? Did you have some that hurt worse than others?

Have a great Monday everyone!

Good morning ladies! Well I thought I might have O'd this weekend but my temp says different. It's hard to get BDing in when DH works and he works the next two days. I could leave for lunch today but I have a case and I might not be able to. Now this is getting stressful and its no fun.... :(

Wendy- The concert is March 13th. I used to love Jordan but now my favorite is Donnie Wahlberg. I am such a Wahlberg brothers fan now....I remember seeing Mark Wahlberg in Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch at age 13. Wow....memories.

Susan- I could only wish for the growing BBs problem. ;) I'm glad you were able to sleep better. I can't function very well if I don't get a good night's sleep.

Hi Priscilla, Bethany and Autumn!

well, the egg eating didnt go as planned. I was about to make it and I was like..ewww I better not. I had a muffin.
Wendy-I gained a little over 30 pounds with Haley, but have the feeling I will gain more this time around. I hope I start wanting fruits and veggies again soon. I am due Oct 16!
Pricialla-are you testing today??? Question about braces-it seems like kids are getting braces earlier now. I got them when I was 12 and some kids in Haley's class have them. Is this just they way its done now? Haley will most likely need them. I had them and her dad did.
Jen-your work this weekend may have payed off..ya never know! Baby making does get very stressful doesnt it. It will happen for you soon!
Atumn HI
Im about to workout bbl

HI all!

Well, I couldn't wait any longer. I tested this morinig and it came back negative :(
I know it may be too early and I don't want to test again until I actually missed my period. I decided to test, b/c the Ovulation kit marked my LH surge on the 10th, so if O'd on the 12th, today is 11 dpo.
I made an appointment this morning with the ob-gyn for a regular check up. Does anybody knows the difference between a M.D and a D.O? I know than M.D. are medical doctors but is there any other difference. They scheduled my app. with a D.O and I'm just wondering.

Susan, the initial recommended orthodontic evaluation is 7 to 8y/o, sometimes kids have a skeletal discrepancy (narrow palate causing posterior crossbites, one jaw growing too much, anterior crosbites etc..) Those are problems that you want to correct early rather than later. We call it phase I tx and it's just to correct a problem that may be worse to correct later or impossible to correct without surgery) Fot example, posterior crossbites due to a narrow palate, we prefer to use an expander early b/c the sutures are not fused, if you wait until after puberty, the sutures may not open and the only alternative is surgically assisted procedures. About 90% of the patients that had Phase I tx, requiere Phase II (whenall permanent teeth come in)

Bethany, I would love to go, but I'm already taking some time off for a family reunion (late June)

Jen, If I don't get pregnant on this cycle, I may do the basal temperatures next month. Do you think is more reliable than CM? I'm starting to get a little anxious, I never thought this could be so emotionally draining

Wendy, you said it, the suspense is killing you and it's certainly killing me too!

Later

Pricilla thanks for the info. I take dd for regular check ups (every 6mos) so surely they would recommend me seeing an ortho is needed, right? Should I specifically see a specialist to make sure? Sorry for the neg...bummer! Is it still too early though. Hang in there and I"ll keep my fingers crossed that af do not make an appearance.
I did Jaris Slim and Lean this morning..felt good. So far Im feeling good today which worries me too. I dont want to feel too good, ya know what I mean!
Im off to run errands and do my chores.

Priscilla - don't worry. I didn't get a positive test on 11DPO either. Mine came on 12DPO and it was VERY FAINT. It also depends on the test and its sensitivity to HCG and also on how fast your body is making HCG. Good luck.

Jen ~ Did you get your fridge clean? Thank you for the baby dust. :) Oh, and have fun at the concert! I'm a fan of the Wahlberg brothers too.

Susan ~ Sorry about the cold sore. My OB was a bit crazy and prescribed an antiviral for my cold sore when I was pregnant. He didn't want me to spread it  to other parts of my body- seriously, what did he think I was going to do to myself????:confused: Anyway, my pharmacist told me to try the herpecin L. But check with your OB/Gyn - there are some other possbile txs.

Priscilla ~ About the CM and temps - CM is more reliable for detecting your fertile time but for some women temps are more reliable for detecting ovualtion. I taught a CM only method of NFP so the belief by the researchers of this method is CM is the most reliable indicator, but, IMO, it depends on the individual.

My PCP is a D.O. I live in an area with a number of Doctors of Osteopathy. At one time, there was an osteopathic hospital. Here is some info on Doctor of Osteopathy

Bethany ~ I was soooo tempted to test this a.m. but it is a little early based on when I believe I actually ovulated. I would love to attend a RT but his RT is the weekend of my DD's b-day.

Wendy ~ You are due close to my b-day (10-28). I had shots in the abdomen, legs, & glutes. Yes, some injections (even of the same med) will be more painful than others. You are right about the pregnancy tests.

I have decided to commit to STS - at least Meso 1 - and see how my body responds. I've been doing Total body w/os for so long and am hoping this WILL shock my system. :D I'm off to be productive. Toodles!

I GOT IN!!! I was so worried bc my patient at the time was talking a lot so I couldn't get to a computer right at 2:00 but I got in #87!!! I'm so excited. Too bad it looks like none of you are going, it would've been really cool to meet you ladies! I hopehopehope that I'm pregnant by then.

Priscilla, sorry about your negative result - hopefully it was just too early.

Jen, I agree it can be hard not to let TTC become more stressful than fun. It would be great if you really did ovulate when you thought and caught the egg in time!!!

Autumn, you seem to really know a lot about fertility, ect. Maybe I missed that you taught/teach NFP?? I hope you won't mind me asking a bunch of questions!;)

Wendy, New Orleans was great, thanks for asking. Well...to be honest...it was cold/damp/dirty/smelly/drunk vomiting people everythere...but good to see my brother and SIL.:) Another vote for Jordan being the cutest member of NKOTB.

Susan, I'm sure it's impossible not to worry, but the fact that you're having pregnancy symtoms is a great sign! Enjoy not feeling too back right now - before you know it it'll be tough to move!:p

I'm sick - again - when I got home from work my temp was 101.6. I think a big factor is not sleeping since Wed night - Taylor was up every 2 hrs last night for some reason...she's normally such a great sleeper. I'll get to bed early tonight and hopefully things will be better in the morning.

Autumn, Thanks for your explanation. I read all the info on the website and I'm willing to give it a try. This month, I've checking CM and Ovul. Kit, so I know that I had a LH surge, but after reading the book, I think it would be wise to chart temps as well, just to know if ovulation indeed happened

Wendy, your response made me feel much better. I'm gonna get involved working this week to try to forget. Today, I was off and I've been miserable just thinking about it. I should've waited longer.

Bethany, how exciting! I hope I can make it next year. Too bad that they're doing just one RT this year. Would it be your 1st time?

Susan, I love Jari's S&L, I find myself doing that one the most! Regarding your question, it all depends on the dentist you're seeing. I often get young pts that have been referred by a general dentist, but I have also see pts that just walk in without any referral to find out if there is anything wrong. I think that it helps that the company I work for has no fee for initial consultation.

Dd's spelling bee was tonight(the county, she won her school district). She came in 2nd. She is a little bummed, but she did great!!! We are so proud.
Pricialla-thanks! We go in April for a cleaning so I will ask the dr what she thinks. S&L is my favorite Jari. I have all of them..I might do another one on Thursday.
Bethany-yayyyy!!! I can't wait to hear all about the trip. You'll have a blast. Sorry you are not feeling well. Try and get a good nights sleep tonight. I told dd I would sleep with her tonight and I sleep great with I snuggle with her.
Wendy-I hope you are feeling good.
Atumn-HI
Jen-HI
I just had my oatmeal and we are off to bed.

Bethany ~ I hope you feel better ASAP. CONGRATULATIONS on getting in on the RT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will live vicariously through you and everyone else sharing their experiences! I am a Women's Health NP and a teacher for 2 NFP methods though I don't work as an NP or teach NFP at this time. You may ask me as many questions as you want. :)

Priscilla ~ In my personal experience, I like putting all the pieces together. I am not temping now but may. You are absoloutely right about the CM and OPKs. Of course, the only way to confirm ovulation is via u/s or pregnancy but the temps do give more information.

Susan ~ That is awesome about the spelling bee!!

Hi everyone! I am so frustrated with my body. I fully expected my temp to rise today to confirm O but it didn't. DH wanted to BD this morning and I was in a hurry and didn't. He works again tonight so we won't be able to unless he wakes me up at 230am when he gets home. I think I might have him do that..... I don't mean to keep complaining but I really thought I would have O'd by now. I have a feeling this just isn't going to be my month. We have too much going on. Oh well....At least I can have an adult beverage at the NKOTB concert! :)

Bethany- I agree that I will also live vicariously through you about the RT! How exciting! I'm sorry you sick again. Take care of yourself and get some rest.

Autumn and Priscilla- I agree that temping, CM and CP are like pieces to a puzzle but this month my puzzle is still in pieces scattered on the floor. My cervix is open, closed, soft, hard, it won't make up its mind. I am beginning to wonder if I will have an anovulatory cycle this month with gpa passing away and all.

Autumn- I did clean OUT my fridge but I didn't get to scrub it down. I did scrub down my freezer. DH makes cold coffee and when he's in a hurry he puts it in freezer so there were all these little frozen coffee spills. MEN! ;)

Priscilla- I hope it was too early for you too. Some women get many negatives before a positive result, maybe you are one. I didn't get my positive until 13 DPO. Still sending baby dust your way!

Things are crazy at work so I better get started with my day!

Well I am bleeding this morning. I go to the dr on Thursday so I will find out for sure then but I am most likely miscarrying. I think that is why I felt so much better yesterday, my estrogen levels were dropping. I was prepared for this, but it still is a knife in the heart. Thanks for all your support, I really appreciate it. I will keep you posted.

Oh Susan. I am soooo sorry-your news brought tears to my eyes and my heart just aches as I know what you're going through. There's really nothing I can say to make things any better. Please keep us posted.

Have they done any testing on you? I would definitely get referred to a maternal fetal specialist. They will test you for Factor V Leiden which is a relatively common blood disorder that causes miscarriages early in pregnancy. Hugs.

Oh Susan (((((HUGS))))). I am so deeply sorry, but there are just no words. We are here if you need us. I am praying for you.

Susan, I am so sorry to hear that, I know that words would not make it any easier. Just remember that we're here to support you. I'll keep you in my prayers.
(((HUGSSSSSSSSS)))

Sorry to butt in your thread...

...just wanted to send Susan some extra hugs.
My heart aches for you and your family.
This is not fair. Hugs for you....
