Good morning, ladies! It's the weekend!

Who is ready for one last holiday before the New Year?

I AM IN A GREAT MOOD TODAY!

I got on the scale this morning for the first time in about 2 weeks, and guess what??? 138.5 -- same as it ALWAYS is!! Woooohoooo, YAY ME!

I got paid yesterday, so I was itching to spend some money. I just went on Amazon and ordered Taking Charge of Your Fertility (as recommended by Kate) and The New Rules of Lifting for Women (as recommended by Jenn). I am excited to get them both and get to reading!

I have not done any strength training since Monday -- yikes! So today I will do LIC -- but I am going to do Total Body premix first, then go back and do Cardio Blast premix. I really prefer weights, then cardio.

Tomorrow will officially be a rest day, but I plan to do some extra walking and plenty of stretches. Monday I will begin Fitness Freak's rotation -- I am so excited! I've got my spreadsheets all printed out and tucked away in the binder!! I also have my brand new Cathe calendar to keep track of my workouts and my results!

I'm feeling great today too. Got lots of sleep last night. I did so good at dinner last night AND I did NOT have dessert, even tho I wanted some WAY MORE than you can imagine. The ###s are decreasing, will power is increasing!

w/o- no rotation yet to guide me! yikes! I've only followed a set rotation for 2 months, but I'm totally hooked on it now. Will do circuit or MM, something with weights I guess

Steph, I actually don't wear ANY shoes for workouts - probably should, huh? BUY THE PYRAMIDS!
 
Kate, I did LIC cardio this morning with no shoes on, and I thought about you! Good menu! I think banana bread is an okay cheat -- probably some unnecessary sugar, but some nutrients too! I try not to feel bad about stuff like that. Only "empty calorie" cheats are true cheats to me!

Workout is done, now off to shower, then shopping! Lunch will be at my FAV kebab grill -- spicy chicken kebab w/veggies in a fresh pita -- YUMMO!

Tonight is my work holiday party, so there will likely be some cheats. I am doing so well with my weight and workouts that I am motivated not to over-do it!

Good job with dropping those pounds, I'm going to weigh myself Monday morning to see if I dropped my extra water weight also.

Jelly beans? Too funny Katie.You have a binder too? I just put in GS printouts into my binder.

New Rules for lifting weight, let us know if it is a good book to read. I'm going to get cooking light because I need help in the kitchen.

My w/o was Amy's ASC II (still need to work on those combos), later I'll do some ab work.

I'm excited to start my rotation tomorrow.
Today I have to go to BJs and buy my protein bars, fruits, veggie and lean meats. Tonight I'm cooking some fish and steam veggies.

For New Years African-Americans eat black-eye-peas and rice for good luck. Do any of you cook something special for New Years?
 
Good Morning Everyone!

I am a little groggy from working last night. We did some backups and I had to attend a status call at 1:00 AM. It was supposed to be 5 minutes but ended up being an hour. I am not used to getting up in the middle of the night and going back to sleep. I think it too me another hour to fall back asleep.

Katie - good news about maintaining weight. I am glad have not gained any weight despite the holidays and your back injury
Kate - congrats on no dessert! No shoes - really? My feet would kill me. I started rotations last Feb, and now I am lost if I don't have my rotation. It really motivates me when I don't feel like getting out of bed.
Jenn - I heard the book was good. I need to find time to read the 5 books I have piled up. Maybe by the Spring I will finish those books and I can get the weight lifting book.
Robin - I don't cook anything special for New Year's Eve. We generally go out but I think this year we are staying in. I definitely need something that will bring good luck for us next year.

I am going to try to go out this weekend and look at Eating Well and Clean Eating magazines. I have tried cooking light in the past but I didn't think their recipes were necessarily clean. Hopefully I can find the time.

Katie, The b. bread recipe I made today has only 3/4 c. sugar so not too bad. Have fun shopping and good luck at the party!

Robin - For NYears its all junk food, baby! Well, fo rthe fam at least. Homemade pretzels, pigs in a blanket, pizza.....My menu will be different but thats waht the fam wants!

Hello, Colleen! Sorry about work! I hate getting sleep interrupted! Let us know what you think of the CE mag. I might get it today too if I can find it. What Kashi dinner do you like? I like the SW Chicken & veggies, but I'm scared to try the rest. A lot of ladies here say they are nasty.

Mission today: Keep out of the leftover banana bread!
 
Hello cLean and tidy weekenders!!

Oh dear, another bad eating day for yours truely. This is it!!! I had carob raisins, a ton of them!! fat free carrot cake, not too bad i guess and some italian cake bread at my Grandma's this afternoon. I feel like a blimp!! I need an intervention :)

I wont post my menu, cause its depressing, but i did workout.

Oh, Steph! You had me chucklin' your whole post! Sorry about your bad day. If its any consolation my day hasn't been too stellar either. Nothing terrible, just kinda wierd. What is Italian Cake Bread? Cake and BRead - My 2 favorite food groups! You had some great wokrouts, anyway. Just think, rolling down the stairs will raise your heart rate AND help you burn calories!
 
Steph - I need an intervention too! My meals were good but my snacks were terrible. I think I need to throw out all of the cookies and candy I got. It has to stop!!!!
Kate - I love all of the Kashi dinners but I also love whole grains. My favorites are the pesto pasta and chicken florentine. I also like the black bean mango but that is a little spicy.

Colleen - I DID throw out all of the junk food. I can mostly resist it, but Gina CANNOT!! She has a sweet tooth like none other.

Just finished DrillMax cardio & UB premix. Sunday calls for GS Legs, but I don't have that one. Need to find one to sub.Any votes?:

Gina's favorite sweet would probably be ice cream. When I get too busy and she gets too quiet I can almost always find her under the kitchen table with a 1/2-gallon of ice cream!}(

Kate, I love the pictures! Your daughters are adorable and you are so young and pretty! (love the apron) I wish I could throw the junk away. My DH and kids would cry. My vote is for PLB and add on the sit-n-stand and glute squeeze bonus sections from B&G. Let us know what you decide.

Steph, I hope today goes better. I'll intervene and say - Today is a new day. You will make food choices that will fuel your fit, healthy body. You workout too hard not to reap the benefits of your efforts. (I hope that works for me, too ;))

Colleen, I hope you had a good night's sleep last night. Read above re: intervention. ;) Let me know if you try one of the circuits. They're challenging. The key is to use weights that will challenge you and to push through the circuits w/o putting on the brakes; unless you have to. The goal is to try to do at least 6-7 circuits in 20 minutes.

Robin, I don't make anything special on New Year's. Well, whatever my family requests but it's not the same every year. ASCII is challenging; choreography and heart pumping. I have a few parts to work on, too. I haven't done it in a while. What type of protein bars do you buy? Have you ever tried Lara bars? They are my favorite - yummy.

Katie, How's your weekend going? Did your family like the mugs Collin made? Good eats and workout!

I did fairly well until last night. UGHHHH!!!!! I WILL do better. I have to and WILL end this cycle of very unclean and untidy eating! I feel lousy and I know it is because I have been eating so much sugar and extra fat for the past 2 weeks. I'm going grocery shopping today so I'll post my menu later. Breakfast - yogurt and granola. Workout Step-boxing (Kelly Coffey-Meyer) Oh, that reminds me. I think someone asked if she does a kickbox workout. She use the step to enhance the kickboxing combos she does. I love the 2 that she has released.

Shirl, glad to see you lady! Everyone loved their mug, thanks for asking!! I think it was the biggest hit of Christmas! I am really interested in KCM's Step Kickboxing, but afraid to stray from Cathe!

No workout for me today -- final rest day before my new rotation (I am so psyched!).

Well, i didnt eat dinner last night, cause well, i ate too much crap to even allow my gutts to fit anymore in!

First off, Kate, i LOVE LOVE the pics! Your family, including the dogs rock! Now, teach me how to do it, and you can see my ugly mug lol! Italian cake is called Pannetone, its not too sweet, more like a bread that melts in your mouth. My favourite food group too by the way.

Katie, enjoy the rest, psyche up for tomorrow! I have a strange question, does your pug shed like a beast? Mine does.

Shirl, You've convinced me about the stepbox i think, i checked out the clips!

Colleen, you and me and an intervention! Isnt there a show called Intervention, where families confront people?

Well, today is my rest day, but i did classical stretch and of coarse a walk. I got kinda sick this morning, barfy sick, so i'm wondering if i turned my stomach yesterday. So no food yet.
