i just had to share this. today i made a salad with baby spinach, meat, dried cherries, carrots, red pepper, almonds.

the homemade dressing is delicious though it has alot of sugar.

1 c canola oil
3/4 sugar
1/2 c red wine vinegar
2 cloves garlic
1/2 t salt
1/4 t white pepper
1/2 t paprika
combine in a jar and shake often over night.
maybe add some monteray jack cheese, roasted pecans, sliced strawberries

enjoy!

Sounds wonderful. I was just confused about the "shake often overnight"!:p Do you set your alarm so you can get up and shake it?...or maybe just attach it to your butt before you go to sleep!

Stevia is a natural sweetener that is about 200 times as sweet as sugar (so it is usually mixed with something else). It's been used in Parguay for centuries, and for decades, it's been what the Japanese use to sweeten sugar-free items like Coca cola and gum. It's low glycemic, so it doesn't affect insulin levels.

There is a very delicious Parisian salad mix they sell at Costco that sounds very similar. I often buy several bags for company lunches & they are very popular. The dressing sounds almost identical. Only the salad is a spring mix, no added meat but it has some feta cheese, & dried cranberries & almonds. Very delicious. Even non-salad eaters were surprised & loved it.
