I was never interested in step workouts. I never liked hi/lo either. I discovered Cathe and tried Step Jam. I was shocked how much I loved this workout. It was perfect to start with - very clear and tough!
My first step tape was Karen Voight's Energy Sprint, which I read about at VF and bought after burning out totally on the old original FIRM Volumes 1 - 6. I liked it but had no idea at the time that it really wasn't a traditional step tape. All I knew -- right away -- was that I really liked stepping, so I searched VF again for more step tapes and naturally found a lot of Cathe chatter. She sounded amazing and I thought her videos sounded like exactly what I was looking for. So I bought Step Jam, Step Heat, Step Max, Mega Step Blast and the Wedding tape (which had just been released) all at once -- a leap of faith that of course started me down this long road!
My first step workout was a Susan Powter video (about 10 years ago). From there I went on to Buns of Steel 2000, Arms & Abs of Steel 2000 and a Kathy Smith workout. About 2 years later I found Cathe & was hooked. I cannot stand doing floor aerobics and would always rather do a step workout.
Cher baby!!! I can't recall the actual title, but it was actually with Kelli Roberts. When she put out her own under her own name I grabbed that and the Gin Miller Reebok one. It was cool with all the warehouse techno stuff. Steam and smoke rising up, and all the wacky costumes! I crack up thinking about them now, but at the time it was such a fun distraction. Cher in her black lingerie, and Gin acting all cool and tough with her headset. It just kills me
