According to this article, even if we exercise daily, we are not immune to the detrimental effects of hours of sitting.

I have a desk job. I sit all day long. I also take public transportation (2 hours back and forth). I have to start making adjustments to my work day; to get up more and walk around more often.

Yeah, that's a good article. I do work out for at least 60 min in the morning BUT - I sit for a 45 min drive to work, then sit 9 hours at work, then sit for 45 min home. Oh and that 1.5 hrs is spent usually getting my blood pressure up because of stupid drivers, I'm sure that doesn't do me any good. I do try to get out and walk around the building, but it has been very hot here lately. :(
 
I hear ya. Driving is definitely stressful. I take public transportation but I still sit. I guess there is nothing much I can do about it. I could stand.......:)
I also find it difficult to get away from my desk during a work day to walk outside. It's just too hot right now. :D
