Hi all,
Finally checking in with you wonderful ladies. Had a good day today. DH was nice enough to not complain when I told him I'd like to get in a Garage Boys session for 60 minutes before we headed to Reno to shop. The workout was an aero building, which was pretty much all below lactate threshold. We worked at 75% of our max, which for me was around 128-130 bpm. Good workout. There were no anaerobic drills in this. Anyway, the sweat just poured off of me. There were 6 of us there this morning. After that, I came home, didn't even shower, threw on some clothes and DH and I traveled to the new Cabelas in Reno. We bought a few things as we had about $180 in gift certificates, then had lunch at Chili's and headed to Costco. Got a few things, visited with DS and headed back home. Not sure if I'll venture out for the group bike ride or not. It's supposed to not get over 32 degrees. We'll see how I feel and if it's sunny or not. I really wouldn't mind about an hour ride and if nothing else, just to socialize with my riding buds. I want to get some paperwork stuff done around the house, organizing and a little housework too. Monday is a holiday, but we don't have anything planned for that day yet.

Sandra, we haven't heard a peep from the cabin in WVA today. Probably a big scrabble game going on... Re: eating fish, as kids, Mom didn't fix it much because she would have to remove the bones for us and it was a pain I guess, especially smaller trout and all the bones. I love it now, in fact, bought some nice salmon at Costco, cut it up, rebagged it and froze it. I love it BBQ'd. The laptop is the same as the first one. It's a Dell 1720. I'm enjoying it (currently). Knock on wood that it continues. As soon as I'm assured this one will work for a while, I'll box up the other one and send back to Dell. Yep, I am more motivated knowing that the leg work burns lots of calories. That's a good thing... How was Ocean's 13? Don't think I've seen that one.

Traci, LOL re: your DH's comment to Holly with his sympathies. I love it when a man can admit the truth, and not worry about his ego. Oh, my gosh, Traci! What a nice surprise the lunch and massage were for you! Bet you guys had a great time together. That Wendell is really something! You're not going to inflict any pain on him for his efforts, are you? Whatever was the occasion today?

Tracy, it'll be interesting to see if my legs are stronger for cycling this year. I didn't have a tough time spinning today because the intensity was down. It actually felt good to spin them. They are sore and sore in the glutes too. Been a long time since I've felt that. Did your DH accompany you to Costco? I don't think my DH bought anything for himself. I bought things that I eat mostly. Did get stuff like laundry and dish soap. Boring. That charge for paying online for the taxes is absolutely ridiculous. Sheesh! So you will be bumping up your eating? Maybe you thought you looked too thin in your upper body? Yep, I need the cardio for the biking performance. You definitely have to ride to become a better rider, though I've seen some great running athletes cross over to the bike and do wonderfully.

Nicole, glad you had a great time with your BFF. How did you finally hook up with her after 30 years? Mmmmmm, the sauteed pears dish sounds really, really good. Whats this? We're all going to get $1600, this year? I could use that.

Laurie, what a cold walk for you. I know it's around zero degrees when the inside of my nose "sticks" when breathing in. The whole wheat pancakes sound good. We almost went to IHOP for some pancakes today. I love those. Did you get that cowgirl outfit done? I always wanted a horse when I was little. Finally got one after I was married and was really, really into horses for about 23 years or so. Little girls and horses, they just go together! Bet she draws them too.

Kim, the laptop is wonderful. I got my new one, transferred everything from the old laptop to the new one and am busily typing away right now in the living room, in front of a glowing fire in the woodstove. It's so much more comfortable sitting on this couch than the upright chair off in the den/pig pen/etc. I highly recommend it. The spin session is made up mostly of guys that bike race here in our little burg. It's too cold to ride outside so instead they have their bikes set up in a guy's nice garage. There is a TV that everyone can see and they usually play a Spinerval DVD. I will stay about 60 minutes, the rest of them stay until the DVD is finished. The owner of the garage had a nice propane heater going for us as it was 30 degrees in there this morning before the heat. We all have heart rate monitors and just follow what Coach Troy says to do re: big ring, little ring, stand, sit, etc. I never had any Amy workouts until this Hi-Lo Dome Challenge. It's really fun! I'm going to get the Step Challenge II DVD next, I think. I like more complex choreography. I think that DS should stick out the lessons. It's a pretty necessary skill. Our town shut down the pool a few years ago as the pool was so old and no funds to repair it. It's so sad as kids aren't able to learn to swim. The nearest pool is about 85 miles away. I did feel like I deflated during my Recovery Week. Usually didn't happen till close to the end of the week, but it usually happened. It was magic!

Swifty, bet you enjoyed the compliments. I've never in my life heard that I had a tiny butt, don't think as a child it was tiny either. These genes, sigh.

I'm getting sleepy here, see you all in the a.m.
