Morning Xers
Sorry to be MIA yesterday- didnt mean to cause alarm.... I was really just busy AND tired so I was trying to stay focused between naps- there were many mini ones!

Body feeling ready to explode with ttom starting today and worst stretch of eating (CA + this weekend) in many many months.

Shoulder not happy with new workouts either so that is messing me up mentally as what to do at this point...

I know that a bad ttom means horrid mental roller coaster so I'm trying to lay low til it all passes and not make any rash judgements about ANYTHING!

Not sure what I'm doing for a workout today...

I'll open another window for catch up time.....

Debra- Hope yesterday/today activities are fun! Such the little social queen you and DD are! Cant wait to hear your thoughts on BC2007! I wanted to do it today but may think better of it.

Swifty - I wish I had your gusto for life this weekend! Do you EVER have a down mental/physical day? Whats your secret?

Nicole- I agree with others that the cleaning probably isnt helping your back... I know that vaccuming actually irritates my shoulders and I end up having to stretch for several minutes after I do it. LOL on the spa- I WISH!

TeddyGirl- ENJOY rest day!!! You give w/o's 1000% Take your rest days - great job!

Tracy- Glad you liked the All Upper w/o! GREAT news n more rain for you!!! ~I am thinking I need to go to 2 all upper days vs splits to help my shoulder... I think what got me was A) Kickboxing B) 2 days of splits after that... Shoulders are just used too much with all lifting for my progress thus far. I'm thinking that an all upper on Monday and Thursdays may give them a chance to recover better - thoughts?

Wendy- Man my hammies are STILL sore from 2007 legs! I think its because I hadnt used a bb in so long... i LOVE that leg day- short sweet to the point! Cant wait to do calves day - hmmmmmm maybe today! Glad you only have 4 more days on drugs but also praying you wont need another round...TAKE IT EASY! Debras been married 28 years? Shes only like 35 I think... Isnt that illegal(except n TX)???? I think you're starting a rumor! LOL

Jeanette- HAPPY RIDE DAY!!!!! Wow you got a ton accomplished yesterday... made me want to take another mini nap already! Your Family fall Festival is just the coolest tradition I've heard of thus far! Hope its filled with laughter & joy & FOOD! ~ I've wanted to see Premonition for a long time but ended up cancelling our NetFlix a few months ago. I heard the DVD had 2 different endings...wonder if both were sad.

Happy Sunday to all! :*

Hi all,

Yesterday I ended up doing a long walk in the afternoon. My legs felt fatigued from the leg workout the day before, so the walk was just about all I needed to do.

Today is an IMAX and some yoga. I'm going out to visit my Mom and go to a farmers market. I rarely go see them, but I do talk with my Mom every day.

Traci - We were really wondering where you were yesterday. I'm feeling pre-TTOM yucky myself. I can feel the nasty little attitude right under the surface. I ran out of my flax oil and I've been taking the pills, which aren't the same. I have to go and get some today. As to what to do about the shoulder, back off! Go back to exercises that weren't causing any trouble. It is NOT worth it. You can still continue to build back your strength and tone with other exercises and sequences and light weights. I didn't lift anything heavier than 15 lbs for weeks, and built a strong base of lean muscle. I did the entire upper yesterday, and although I didn't feel that worked while I was doing it, later in the day, I did get the worn out feeling. I think it is harder than it looks, and we are so programmed to get that lactic acid burn with Cathe, that the heavy lifting felt less difficult, but it was not. Also, I thought the shoulder exercises were pretty intense.

I previewed the HIS cardio and it looked like a lot of fun. I can't wait to try it.

Hi to everyone who is around.

Tracy

Traci - I would go to all upper twice a week or every four days. You can go moderate for both workouts or slightly heavier for one, and lighter for the next. You'll still get good results. That way you do get plenty of time to recover. I feel the one body part per day, or the splits aren't condusive to recovery because the muscles that stabilize never get a complete rest. JMO.

Tracy

tracy- Enjoy mom time and I know you'll love the Farmer Market! Thanks for feedback... It was actually one of the new moves in the back work yesterday that took me over the edge... I wasnt using but a lousy 12#'er but the angle was the issue- all it took was one lift... also I cant use chest2007 much as its primarily pushups- did a few on my knees and had to stop.... so frustrating! I will see about the Bi/Tri/Sh with light weights- HIS- I did that Friday... I'll be interested as to your thoughts... i wasnt lovin' the cardio at all- BUT REMEMBER I am in ttom head so you cant go by me! LOLOLOL

ETA: Got it! Thanks... its to all upper days a week for me!
:* & huggers!!!!

Traci - I probably wouldn't do any kickboxing. That has too much potential for movements with momentum and I think that when you recover you need to do slow/and or controlled movements to decrease the chance of further unintentional injury. JMO again:)

Tracy

Hi there...Just popping on really quick to check on Traci! I was so worried when you weren't around yesterday morning, woman. Sorry to hear you were not feeling your normal perky self yesterday, but glad that is all that was wrong!

I am still at my friends' house...so no time for anything else right now...except...

Wendy...Did I say I was married 28 years? No...Maybe it has just felt that long! I've been married 12 years, but lived with my XDH for the past 14...except for the "Russia Years" LOL!

And one last note...I LOVED BC2007!!!! You have to understand that I typically don't like those kind of workouts, but this one was super fun...and just long enough without being too long for me. The cardio reminds me of a girlier version of PlyoX. Anyway, no time to chatter right now...just wanted to say hello and check on Traci. I'll be back this afternoon when we get home.

Hugs to all!!!

Debra

TRACY: ITA about the kickboxing! That breaks my heart but theres no doubt that KB was what started the arm challenges all over again on Thursday... I will stay away from that except for Lower body kicks/drills.
thanks again!:*

DEBRA- ROFL "girlier version of PlyoX" :+ :+ :+ :+ :+ :+ :+ :+
Thanks so much for concern and checking on me... I really didnt mean to worry anyone! XXOOXOXO Hope your trip is super fun!

Morning:7

Quick check in before I cook breakfast, pancakes and turkey bacon:9 I got up this morning, thinking okay NO workout today, feeling good about it too. Then, realized I was out of coffee had enough for a few cups. So I decided to go to Giant Eagle to get coffee and bleach, got into my car and Bang! It wouldn't start, I tell you it’s always something, so I ended up walking to GE I didn’t want to get depression about my car so a walk was neededx(

I ended up walking took me an hour and 50 minutes my usually, it is such a beautiful day, it's suppose to be 80 degrees today, imagine that.

When I got back, I woke Ted and told him about what happen, hopped back in the bed so we are just getting up to start the day. I will check back with update.

Good Afternoon Ladies,

Thought about doing Eoin last night. We went shopping for luggage for the second time instead. The first time, my head just spun with all the choices. The salesperson last night was very knowledgeable, and was able to help me choose one to fit my needs and budget. I ended up getting a lightweight set that I could carry on my back if eldest dd gets too tired pulling hers. Or, should we decide to hike for the night in the jungle, I could use it as a backpack. Ha-Ha! Like that will ever happen. Here's the link:

Anyhoo, Phil is working today.

LOL!!!!! I thought Debra was too young to be married that long!!!!:7 Jeanette explained it to me last night. For some reason I got it all messed up!!!!!! What's new?!?!

Traci: You have more self control than I do!!!! Did my hormonal antic send up a warning signal of what can happen when your PMSing and injured. OMW, I just realized I was a like a wild animal last week. LOLOLOL Don't worry, Swifty (Amy-X) is perfectly normal. She just exhibits more self control than I could ever have. Another reason why I admire her so much. Are you still seeing the PT man? My inner thighs are still sore. Hammies are feeling better today. But, I didn't do the entire KB workout, just the warm-up. Oh, I didn't use a bb for legs. I used two heavy dumbbells instead. Much easier that a bb for me since Phil has dbs that go up to 50 pounds. If I need to go higher, I use 2 30's. Thanks for keeping me in your prayers. I do not want to start another round of these nasty antibiotics!!!! It leaves such a nasty after taste in my mouth that doesn't go away!!!!

Tracy: Interesting observation about lactic acid and weights. I think you're onto something there. Maybe that's why I prefer heavy weights and steady state cardio. Have fun with your mom today!!!!

Debra: LOL You didn't need to pop in and correct me! :7 Jeanette straightened me out last night. OMW All I can do is laugh at my stupidity!!!! BC a girlie version of Plyo! Stop making me laugh!!! It gets me coughing!

TG: Awww, it sucks to not have a car working!!!! At least you live close enough to the grocery store. Wait, almost 2 hours isn't close!!!! High 5 to you for walking!!!! I hope the car doesn't need anything major.

Jeanette: Ride like the wind!!!! How's the fall foliage in your neck of the woods? How sweet of you and your sisters helping your mom with paperwork. My reasons are purely selfish. Some airlines won't allow you to board if you don't have the appropriate visas. I didn't want to get off in Bangkok, and her not be with me!!!!! My mom is comfortable speaking her native language. But, she feels self conscious when she speaks to strangers in English. Also, coming to the South in the 70's... Well, let's just say that BJU took down it's rule about dating different races. Oh! Same here about the YI until this week!!! The only reason why I'm took a jab at self diagnosis is I know Phil's not messing around on me and my sister tells me about them ALL the time. Not fun!!!!

Hello to all out MIA Xers! Hope you all have a great weekend!!!!

Ballistic Hugs to ALL!
Wendy

Morning Xers,

Rotoation: LGI8 Week6/Day1
Workout: Kathy Smith Kickboxing / Some type of Yoga or Stretching haven't decided yet.

Oldest DD and her team are going to the State Cross Country Meet. She is very exicted, and I am so proud of her. She was 21st with a time of 17:05. This course was very tough, it had a large hill at the end.

Now I am glad that I took Th & Fr of next week. This morning we talked to our pastor about her confirmation rehearsal (since that was scheduled for Saturday). He is going to make arrangements for practice during the week. There will be a couple more girls from different schools that are heading out there too. :) We will have a busy weekend next week. :D

Cleaning all three bathrooms is my mission today. :D And still have to get the youngest DD's bedroom tackled. One thing I am not looking forward too.

Jeanette, Way to go on the wood stacking. :D The cornbread sounds wonderful. :9

TG, Sorry about your car.

Oh man! Oldest DD just bonked her head on a light fixture in our dinning room. She was vacuuming the carpet. DH had moved the table so she could vacuum easier. She was just here for a hug, and has now decided that the bonk on the head is an "Oh My Chai" moment. I think that she is going to consume all of the Oh My Chai from Tastefully Simple. :7 :7 :7

Hope to BBL,

Laurie

Hi all...We had a great time at the fair...lots of bad food and fast rides...but isn't that what the fair is about?? We hung out with our friends for a while this morning and went to this great place for brunch...Then DD and I headed home with a quick pit stop at the mall for some shopping at my favorite jeans store, which I don't have at a mall close to me. Then home for a nap...I guess I need to get my lazy buttocks up and workout! I had planned on yoga plus triceps but I may do something else...just can't decide. I have a field trip with DD's school tomorrow. We are headed to a pumpkin patch. It is an all day event, so I may not be checking in until later in the day tomorrow.

...........personals...........

Traci...So sorry you are having a small meltdown. Hope you are feeling better today...and are climbing out of the dark hole of ttom! I hate that your shoulder is acting up, but it sounds like Tracy is right about the KB. Take it easy on yourself...and listen to some of the advice you have been giving Nicole. Sending some sweet {{{{{{{hugs}}}}}} your way. Hope you are hanging out with Sandy today and getting lots of doggie kisses.

Tracy...Hope you got that wrinkle cream...That is also the only make up I use consistently too...LOL! Glad you enjoyed the upper body work yesterday. I have liked everything so far..Just think I needed to go heavier. And since I am doing a one body part rotation, I think I could double up on some of the workouts. Did you find anything yummy at the farmer's market?

Nicole....How are you feeling today? Get some of those boys to help you with the cleaning! You had better be resting today.

Jeanette...I didn't have any kettle corn, but I think we ate everything else that is bad for you! The kettle corn would have probably been better. I don't think you're old enough to be my mother...not unless you started really early!!! Thanks for straightening Wendy out, though...lol! Hope you are having a great ride today...and that those darn good fairies have all that wood stacked by the time you get home!

Laurie...Congrats to DD and the team! How wonderful for them!!!! Sounds like you have a busy weekend coming up. Hope DD's head is okay...I know the bonk must have hurt. Are your bathrooms sparkling??

Teddygirl...Well, sometimes there is just divine intervention when it comes to working out! Hope there is nothing seriously wrong with your car, though.

Wendy...Silly woman! I am sure it is all the drugs that are eating away at your brain cells! I guess I could have been married for 28 years if I was from a tribe in Africa where they marry people off at 12 years old. I can't believe you gave up Eoin for shopping. I think I am going to head up and visit him right now...I need some nectar!

Okay ladies....Hope everyone who is missing is well and having a fun weekend. Kisses and hugs to all!

Debra

Yet another rest day here at Nicole's camp!

The pain is a bit more manageable today so now the goal is to remember that if I use it I lose it:) Today I will rest completely and see if that helps.

Traci-X, Glad all is well and you were able to take naps yesterday. Betcha you wish you were at the spa:D

Tracy, Have fun at the Farmer's Market! I love going to those when I visit my sister in Kansas. We don't have many her and the few we have aren't that good.

Teddygirl, Glad you are getting to enjoy a relaxing day:) Sorry about the car:( Isn't it good to have Ted around for these things?

Laurie, Glad your DD was happy with her track meet. Hope the Chai made other DD head feel better;)

Wendy, You are just coming along with the trip planning. The luggage looks nice, I'm sure it will work well for the trip. Don't miss dear Phil too much today;)

Debra, Thanks for checking in. Glad you are having a good time! I hope you have been able to distract yourself with fun and adventure:)

Hi to everyone else. Must go change a diaper}(

Nicole

Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going.

Hi all,

I tried the new HIS as a warmup minus the last blast, and some of that choreography is a little tricky, then made a leg circuit (going heavy) with 9 of the IMAX 3 intervals. I finished with Tone, and I was physically and mentally done. It was a good workout

Nicole - I'm sending practical vibes so that you will continue to rest. I am so sorry. I know how horrible that pain is. It taught me a lesson. The minute mine starts to even resemble pain I back off. Between my cracked tooth last fall and the back, I had enough pain for a lifetime. It will get better:)

Debra - Glad you enjoyed the fair. I don't think I could do the new upper stuff by itself unless I went really heavy. I didn't feel much pump after the chest workout. Maybe I'll change my mind after I do it again. It sounds like there is an abundance of things to do down there. Do you like it better than the north? I'm assuming that is probably a stupid question.

Jeanette - I hope you enjoyed your ride. Are your leaves turning nicely? Ours don't look so good because of the heat and drought.

Traci - I hope you are de-funking. I got my flax oil and drank some in the car. I was that desperate. Hopefully with another spoonful tonight, I'll be better by tomorrow. Ice that shoulder.

I've got to go and cook dinner. We are having tacos with homemade shells. They are a slight pain in the butt to make, but so much better than the store bought ones.

Tracy

Hi ladies,
Had a good bike ride today, 44 miles with an average speed of 17.0 mph when it was all over. My legs were pretty toasty when we were done. There ended up being 8 riders, with 2 of us being women. The other lady just did her Ironman competition in Hawaii last Saturday. She's an awesome athlete, very tiny, age 45. Most all the guys were testosterone driven this morning so the pace was high. I decided to drop back as I didn't want it to be a race, plus, I couldn't hang with them anyway. Got to enjoy the sights and ride with a couple other fellas that didn't want to go that fast. A beautiful day for sure and a good workout.

Traci, hope you are feeling better now. Do your bioidentical thingies need to be adjusted? So sorry the shoulder is still being pesky. One of the riders today is a doctor and he gave me some exercises to do for my tennis elbow, which he's had before too. He said to use very light weights (2-3#ers for now). I didn't know Premonition had another ending. Maybe it was a better one. I can see how it could be. Do you have clients coming this week for workouts?

Tracy, hope you had a nice time with your mother today. I treasure my time with my Mom too. Did you pick up anything at the Farmer's Market? Has the flaxseed kicked in yet? You are so good to cook for your family. When the kids were home, I cooked. Not any more. My DH made BBQ'd burgers tonite. I got the corn ready for the grill. Does that count as cooking?

Debra, glad to hear you like BC2007. I will be getting mine on Tuesday and looking forward to the short cardio as I just don't have the patience for 60 minutes of one DVD for some reason. I think it's the rebel in me to mix it up. The Pumpkin Patch sounds fun! We have a local one here that I've not visited in a few years. I love autumn so much! No wood stacking fairies still! Surprised DH hasn't mentioned it to me as I left him today to cut wood by himself (and I worried). He got a nice load again. I played today, and will play golf tomorrow after working 4 hours at work. See, I'm a serious grasshopper.

Anointed, sorry about the car problem. Hope it's nothing serious. I absolutely hate car problems. My DH can fix some of them but the newer cars are getting tougher to work on. Glad you enjoyed the walk. Did you still make pancakes?

Laurie, congrats on your DD's achievement with running! She sounds like an awesome athlete. 3 bathrooms to clean!!! I can't imagine. I have a hard enough time getting my 2 in, though it's just DH and I. I hate cleaning the bathroom. How is the Oh My Chai? I love my nonfat Chai Latte at Starbucks. Haven't had it in quite some time though. Needs to be colder for me to want it.

Wendy, I need to check out your luggage when I get done here. The fall colors today were spectacular. The leaves were the same color as the yellow stripe on the road. Very pretty. Sorry about the YI. Do you now have to take something for that too? You do sound like you are feeling better, hoping so!

Nicole, I'm so glad the pain is better today. Keep resting that back. I have to move my furniture tomorrow night as I'm having the carpets cleaned on Tuesday morning. Will have DH help me move the leather stuff as it's pretty heavy. Changing diapers? How old are your children? You girls make me feel so ancient.

Got to go now, will talk to you all tomorrow!

Jeanette
