Xers.... iT's Tuesday......

Sorry, another quick post from me today. Hopefully after I get dd in bed I can get back for personals. DS was better today and went back to school so I got to go back to work today. I have a great intern right now and she is seeing lots of my patients so that is sure making work easier for me;-) I'm sure with these bitterly cold temperatures (-48 tonight) we'll be seeing lots of frostbite injuries in the clinic over the next few weeks.

So I started a doubles phase two so I did CST,ARX and a 2 mile run tonight. The running felt great I would have gone longer but I just couldn't commit more time to working out. So off to help dd with homework and bedtime and if I don't fall asleep with her, I'll be back to do personals. Kim

Hi all! Back for a quick hello. Hope everyone is doing well this evening. I ended up doing PP upper body premix x3...which did very nicely. I got my X+ dvds today, so I will probably do Kenpo+ tomorrow.

personals...

Laurie...
Yucko on the breakfast in the bathroom....what do people think?? I am sure it is clean, but I certainly wouldn't eat in my bathroom and I know everyone who uses it...LOL! Some nights my DD goes right to sleep and then sometimes she is up super late! I don't have a 9lb body bar...which is why I haven't done the Kimberly Spreen dvd much. I tried using my barbell bar, but it is pretty long and I kept running into the ceiling fan...LOL! Crazy dogs...my pooch will run after anything that moves...it is the retriever in her, I guess. Hope you enjoyed Bryan today.

Nicole...
Hope that DS's game went well today.

Sandra...
You are a workout machine!!! I had a specific move to get my info from so that I can use it in class tomorrow. I am using 'Fools Rush In' to illustrate my points on the cultural significance of interpersonal communication. Don't you wish you were in my class tomorrow to see my perfectly put together presentation! Glad you are feeling good about your dissertation. Hope all goes well on Thursday.

Traci...
You are a mad woman with the workouts!!!!

Christiane...
Sorry the abbey was a little disappointing. Sorry you won't be able to make the 'retreat'...We have a lovely evening of cheap wine and sappy movies planned! Have a wonderful time at the ballet tomorrow. I am sure that will be fun. Is your DD your only child?

Tracy...
Only you would think DM is 'kinda' hard...since it is pretty darn intense...lol! Sorry the parent thing went as expected...but I guess good new on the computer! Of course, you must keep your back safe with all of the workouts you do. I know you are very careful about that.

Okay...think I am done for now. Wish me luck on my presentation tomorrow! Kisses to all!

Back for some personals

Christiane- Sorry the outing today was disappointing. I hope you enjoy the Montreal ballet tomorrow, have you ever seen the Royal Winnipeg Ballet company. BTW I did enjoy a good cuddle with ds when we were home yesterday, I do try and take every advantage as I know there only young once and we have lost one son due to illness so I definitely take every cuddle opportunity.

I'm like you I started phase 1 following the diet plan and have slid into increased carbs,it's so hard to keep all that protein in the diet. Going to definitely try harder this week.

Nicole- WTG on your son getting second place! Yes we did have piano lessons yesterday, she had a penguin theme for yesterdays class, she's a very creative teacher. I guess penguins can go to lessons during blizzards. Are you still getting rain today?

Sandra- Have you tried the Dancing with the STars yet? Let me know how you like it, I was thinking of getting it for dd. Our house was doing that popping sound last night too, I wonder why they do that when it's cold?

Lea Glad your back is getting better! Good luck on your on line courses in business, do you have a home based business?

Jeannete- I love c&W! What a fun workout!

Debra - On no on the doggie!Glad he's feeling better, our last dog had diabetes, knee surgeries, so I know how those vet bills can add up! Glad dd is feeling better Good luck on the presentation tomorrow!

Traci What's with all the cancellations today? Sorry that the bay holds such memories for you, time will help things heal. SOunds like you are real excited about STS! It's so much fun seeing the blog pics.

Teddygirl Glad that you got such a relaxing weekend!

Tracy - Hope you have a better day at work tomorrow! Until I worked in health care I never realized how many troubled people are in this world, I'm glad that you managed the parent meeting okay.

Carol Good luck on Round 3!

Laurie ((HUGS)) on the funeral, I hope that you had a chance for some closure at the funeral. Is your dog leashed when he chases the deer? Be careful, some of the worse hand fractures I've seen is when people have their dog leashes wrapped around their fingers and then the dogs take off for some reason.

Hi ladies,
Hope everyone had a good day today. Cold and windy outside. Snow blowing over the roads. We rarely get that in this country. Nice to come home to a roaring fire, cheery DH and a couple of happy dogs.

Just talked to my BIL on the phone. He told me that his cousin's wife (age 50) and super, super healthy, trim, wouldn't eat anything unclean, etc. had a massive stroke or something like that about a week ago. She died today. So sad. He said she would have been the last person you'd have thought would get something like that. You just never know. Her DH is devastated. I say to live life fully as much as you can because it could all end today. Or tomorrow.

Debra, LOL on the cesspool. Glad you didn't have to go. I'm less puffy today and guess what, TTOM still hasn't started. Seems like I'm getting less regular. Last time was a few days earlier and this time later. Guess that's to be expected. My back and lats were feeling the back work today from Cardio & Weights. I usually never feel much on the DB rows. Know you'll make us proud with your presentation tomorrow. You go girl!

Laurie, I so admire you getting outside and walking. How do you have enough time in the morning for working out and walking the dog? It's all I can do to work out, shower and get ready for work. Plus post on here. Got to get that in as I can't do it from work. Darn. Very understandable not doing ARX. How are the results coming? Better results than LGI8? My previous position was in Plant Operations and that's what I did, run the preventive maintenance computer program. Of course, it was only as good as the info that the fellas gave you to put in. I did that job for almost 10 years. Don't know how I stood it for so long, except that I had 4-10's. Loved that. Thanks for reminding me about my sister. I just talked to my BIL, said she's been super busy the last few days. He just told me the news above about his cousin's wife dying. Minus 5 degrees tonite? Brrrrr.....

Nicole, boy, I sure don't know anything about caffeine and the glycemic response. I'm not interested in giving up my coffee, unless there is some darn clear decision deemed that it's bad. They'll have to pry it out of my cold.... Enjoy the bumping sound system!

Sandra, this time of year, everyone here keeps their fires going in their woodstoves 24/7. In fact, you want a stove so efficient that it'll hold the wood overnight, with just coals in the morning so you can throw more wood on there without having to rebuild a fire. No, I'm not too discouraged with the weigh in. I'll give it some time, then try to tweak some. Had to try something different anyway. The book I'm reading is called "The Dragonbone Chair", by Tad Williams. The reviews and the gal that recommended it said you just have to get past those first 100 pages. I'm not quite there yet, keep falling asleep.

Latrese, don't you hate a lurking boss? Cramps my style. Actually, I really like the bosses in this department. 2 of them are due to retire in less than 2 months so they have short timers, not making too many demands on anyone.

Traci, good workout for you today! Way to go! How's Wendell's workout coming? DS#2 loves to fly fish and he's usually pretty successful. He'd love to catch one of those tarpons (think that's what they are called) or fish that you see in the shallow waters of the Caribbean.

Christiane, sorry the abbey trip wasn't quite what you wanted. Hope the weather was nice for you. Yep, the eating seems to be critical. Sorry you won't be able to make the retreat. Sounds like you have lots going on. You are one busy gal!

Tracy, sounds like you had good and bad today with the computer system and the angry parent. Good job on Drill Max. I need to get that one out for one of my circuits. Think this will be the last week of circuits for me. Any ideas for what I can switch up to? I'd also like to start working my legs more seriously this next week. Should I work them twice a week? More? I'll still be doing Garage Boys twice a week too. Any ideas? Maybe I'll reach that 100 page point tonite, stay awake and have the book take off like a racehorse. I'd better start on a to do list of things for DH for this summer. Lord knows that grasshopper needs to get going on finishing some of these projects. He loves starting them and is not so good at finishing.

Kim, glad DS was better and you got to go to work today. Good job on the doubles!

Night, night.

Jeanette

So sorry I didn't get back today girls:( I did the workout and then rushed to get ready and rushed to the game and rushed home and rushed to get dinner ready and rushed to get the boys in bed and then rushed to take out my mom on strike sign;) Anyway I'll catch up tomorrow since DH will be off to work and I am not going out again until Friday, aside from busing the kids to and from school:)

Upper Body Plus and A/C Plus were tough workouts. There were a couple of things I just laughed at but the rest I finished strong on. I am already getting sore:p I think the main difference between these and the original is the length of time between exercises. They may be shorter workouts but they have a lot less down time. I would say because of the lack of chit chat they are the same length as the originals. You definitely have to be ready for the next exercise or you'll be left behind. Overall I think it was a fast paced, tough workout. I'll be anxious to see what I feel like tomorrow.

Talk to you all later:*

Nicole
