Hi ladies,
Hope everyone had a good day today. Cold and windy outside. Snow blowing over the roads. We rarely get that in this country. Nice to come home to a roaring fire, cheery DH and a couple of happy dogs.
Just talked to my BIL on the phone. He told me that his cousin's wife (age 50) and super, super healthy, trim, wouldn't eat anything unclean, etc. had a massive stroke or something like that about a week ago. She died today. So sad. He said she would have been the last person you'd have thought would get something like that. You just never know. Her DH is devastated. I say to live life fully as much as you can because it could all end today. Or tomorrow.
Debra, LOL on the cesspool. Glad you didn't have to go. I'm less puffy today and guess what, TTOM still hasn't started. Seems like I'm getting less regular. Last time was a few days earlier and this time later. Guess that's to be expected. My back and lats were feeling the back work today from Cardio & Weights. I usually never feel much on the DB rows. Know you'll make us proud with your presentation tomorrow. You go girl!
Laurie, I so admire you getting outside and walking. How do you have enough time in the morning for working out and walking the dog? It's all I can do to work out, shower and get ready for work. Plus post on here. Got to get that in as I can't do it from work. Darn. Very understandable not doing ARX. How are the results coming? Better results than LGI8? My previous position was in Plant Operations and that's what I did, run the preventive maintenance computer program. Of course, it was only as good as the info that the fellas gave you to put in. I did that job for almost 10 years. Don't know how I stood it for so long, except that I had 4-10's. Loved that. Thanks for reminding me about my sister. I just talked to my BIL, said she's been super busy the last few days. He just told me the news above about his cousin's wife dying. Minus 5 degrees tonite? Brrrrr.....
Nicole, boy, I sure don't know anything about caffeine and the glycemic response. I'm not interested in giving up my coffee, unless there is some darn clear decision deemed that it's bad. They'll have to pry it out of my cold.... Enjoy the bumping sound system!
Sandra, this time of year, everyone here keeps their fires going in their woodstoves 24/7. In fact, you want a stove so efficient that it'll hold the wood overnight, with just coals in the morning so you can throw more wood on there without having to rebuild a fire. No, I'm not too discouraged with the weigh in. I'll give it some time, then try to tweak some. Had to try something different anyway. The book I'm reading is called "The Dragonbone Chair", by Tad Williams. The reviews and the gal that recommended it said you just have to get past those first 100 pages. I'm not quite there yet, keep falling asleep.
Latrese, don't you hate a lurking boss? Cramps my style. Actually, I really like the bosses in this department. 2 of them are due to retire in less than 2 months so they have short timers, not making too many demands on anyone.
Traci, good workout for you today! Way to go! How's Wendell's workout coming? DS#2 loves to fly fish and he's usually pretty successful. He'd love to catch one of those tarpons (think that's what they are called) or fish that you see in the shallow waters of the Caribbean.
Christiane, sorry the abbey trip wasn't quite what you wanted. Hope the weather was nice for you. Yep, the eating seems to be critical. Sorry you won't be able to make the retreat. Sounds like you have lots going on. You are one busy gal!
Tracy, sounds like you had good and bad today with the computer system and the angry parent. Good job on Drill Max. I need to get that one out for one of my circuits. Think this will be the last week of circuits for me. Any ideas for what I can switch up to? I'd also like to start working my legs more seriously this next week. Should I work them twice a week? More? I'll still be doing Garage Boys twice a week too. Any ideas? Maybe I'll reach that 100 page point tonite, stay awake and have the book take off like a racehorse. I'd better start on a to do list of things for DH for this summer. Lord knows that grasshopper needs to get going on finishing some of these projects. He loves starting them and is not so good at finishing.
Kim, glad DS was better and you got to go to work today. Good job on the doubles!
Night, night.
