Xanthan Gum makes for creamy smoothies!

Hey all,

I'd heard that adding xanthan gum to smoothies makes them a lot creamier and richer, so I picked some up last week at my local health food store.

Today was the first day I used it in a protein shake made with water, and it was amazing! I couldn't even tell that the smoothie didn't have my beloved skim or soy milk in it!:)

I used about 1/8 of a teaspoon in my shake, and it added a nice bit of creaminess, without being too thick.

Just thought I'd share my new find!:)

I have a hard time making my protein smoothies with just water (instead of skim or soy milk) since they end up tasting so, well . . . watery. This stuff really made a difference!
