WW Core Plan?

As anyone here done the core program?? I know we have lots of WW members but I didn't know if they are all points counters of the flex plan.
A friend of mine went last night b/c she is a lifetime memeber and although she hasn't went in years, she as gained a few pounds over the summer and needed some motivation to lose it.She wants me to join and both of us would be happy with just a 10-15 lbs weight loss.
How did you like the program? I have to get the book I suppose and read it but the core plan almost sounds a little over welming until you get your head around it.Now I understnad why you get 35 points to add into your week:eek:
Oatmeal, for breakfast...oatmeal for lunch, fruit and a normal supper, hahahaha:) :)
