WW Check In--Week of June 12th!

Stacy: yes it is the peak interval cardio burn...not too jumpy as workouts go..when i did it yesterday i did the jumping in the last peak but today for the frog jumps at the end i modified those suckers two days in a row... not pretty i did sprawls instead..high intensity not as icky..
The first time i did the dvd i was not impressed...now.. well ...doable fake hiit I call it:D

I would totally not buy the Tracy Anderson because i find her seriously annoying! anytime i feel like i am going to give in the the videofitness madness or enabeling i go to youtube and do one of ther quickies...doesn,t take much to unconvince me...

You know who also is pretty fun and the music is good...Chalene turbo fire.. but with bad knees she might not be too fun for you..

Yay!! I do ALL of Step Blast (with a few modifications) and I didnt die and my knee was decent, not perfect, but decent with modifications. I took 2 Advil afterwards as a precaution though! This is the first lengthy cardio I've done in a loooonnnngggg time! So, looks like some sort of weights tomorrow!

I have started taking glucosamine as a preventative measure for my joints :) i am hitting 40 in august and want to keep on jumping so i figure it is sort of like salary insurance:D

I LOVE ADVIL Thankfully my stomach is cast iron and i tolerate it rather well. I buy it in bulk at costco:D

Hope all is well tomorrow... i am going to my sons horseback riding show so no exercise in the am ... i am thinking maybe a little imax3...it has been a week since i last did it...
 
Weigh In day for me...stayed the same, sigh. I'm leaning towards High Reps after work, omitting the disc/plate work (knees cant take it the strain there!)

I have a family reunion towards the end of July (in about 5 weeks), trying to use that as my weight loss motivator. This would be so much easier if I actually preferred the taste of healthy food lol. My goal is to get down to 125 lbs I'm at 129.4 now, (my lowest since starting WW has been 126.6). Wish me luck!

Today's original work out plan was foiled due to continued lower body DOMS so I did the following instead....

5 mins of jumpjack/jumprope intervals.

Total time: 25 mins of blood, sweat and tears NOT including w/u and stretch. :cool:

Stacy:: Definitely use the reunion as motivation!!! You can do it!:)

Steph:: I took glucosamine when I ran for a while. I have no idea if it really helped or not. LOL :p
 
Well ladies what a totally un-motivating day for me..
I started Imax3 and did 5 min...stopped it
Started hiit 30-30 2 min...stopped it
So by now i have figured i really am not that into cardio today soooo I did P90x shoulder-and arms...yeah...mission accomplished...

Totally blah today cardio wise:(

Maybe i'll go for a walk after supper if not...well no cardio for me today...
not that a walk is total cardio...more like active recovery but whos going to split hairs;)

Wendy: so what did killer do today??? As for the glucosamine.. well one pill more , one pill less...;) I bought a jumbo costco pack.. i figure its like WD40 for your joints.
Aparently Cathe is going to be having weekly challanges...Are you on??? I bet miss Body rock aka wendy is in;)

Stacy: I would so use a reunion as my motivator... shows all those guys who discounted me because of my brains what they missed out on;)
 
Wendy...those workouts look so tough!! I dont think my knees would take the impact. Is that woman "surgically enhanced"???

Steph...I've had those cardio-blah days too! Good job in finding a workout for the day!

I just finished the Upper Body premix from High Reps. It kicked my butt! I was soooo dreading the back section (my least fav body part to work) and then before I knew it Cathe was on to the ab section.....NO back work in the UB premix! So, I was relieved but then felt guilty so I did the back section after the abs. I think if I did this premix on a regular basis, I'd have some decent looking arms! (Well that and not pigging out! Oink Oink!)

B---low sugar oatmeal with almonds
L---the tuna salad recipe from Gina's site, plus a bag of pretzels from the vending machine
S--two Starbursts
D---hubby is making pasta with grilled veggies and a sauce made of low fat mayo and ff sour cream.....I'm not a big pasta person so I'll definitely fill up more on the veggies (the total cals for the sauce for the entire recipe is 260 cals, so hope to not overdo it caloriewise. I try not to complain, my hubby cooks a few days a week and he's one of those skinny guys who doesnt workout and eats what he wants so even though pasta's not great diet wise I appreciate the fact that he's putting tons of veggies in it instead of a meat sauce and using ff sour cream for a makeshift fettucini sauce, so now it's all about me and portion control!)

Diet still needs some fine-tuning.
 
well i like a porker...
went to a restaurant for my parents 43 wedding anniversary..
had a thin crust cheese pizza (not so terribly bad) but it was the deep fried calamari that killed me! at least i refrained from desert and bread (ok they didn't even give bread so that wasn't so impressive:p)

So I did STS D27 (S-B-T) this morning. I was torn. I wanted to do the 600 rep BR work out but I would have had to re-arrange my STS schedule in order to do it. I ALMOST went for it but then decided to stick to the plan! ;) I enjoyed the work out. Went heavier again then what the work out card suggested. GO ME! :p

Good job Wendy! I did sts 26 plyo legs today with 20 pounders and it was a lot harder....
I am off to do some back now...i figure ill try one of the sts..prob 25..bbl with my take

i hope i am not totally ruining it for when i start the rotation but i want to try different things kwim:D
 
You two rock!! And, I thought of you two when I was laying in bed this morning thinking how I cant possibly workout b/c my calves are still a bit sore from Step Blast two nights ago....whine whine whine!! "Suck it up, girl" I said to myself. So I did a 5 minute walk on the treadmill followed by intervals of 2 minutes jogging/2 minutes walking for 30 minutes. It's not plyo legs (I can only read in awe of your leg abilities) but it certainly was better than sitting on my rump!!

B--low sugar instant oatmeal with almonds
L--bagel thin + the rest of my skinny tuna salad
D--no clue (working late)

I cant be lone slacker around here, thanks for keeping me in check!!
 
Steph:: Don't worry about your dinner. It was a special occassion! Assign it extra points and move on. What you do MOST of the time is what counts! Good job with plyo legs using 20# DB's! I'm impressed! :D The thought of that scares me! :eek:

Stacy:: Good job pushing yourself to work out and doing what you can! Blowing off a work out is never worth it. I prefer to just change it up if I need to instead of completely blowing it off...unless I am changing my rest day for the week-in that case it's okay cause you aren't actually MISSING a work out for the week. ;)
 
Ok so i did back part only of sts 25 with 20s and then did the chinup stuff. 2 unassisted and the rest on chair ..6 sets of 12 using chair and different hand grips,..
I have to say that meso 3 will prob drive me completely insane with all that rest time.. I still don't know why the heck she has those guys in the dvds...one of them seriously looks like he is on roids and they use weights that are LESS THEN THE WOMEN! (in plyo) is Cathe trying to make us laugh? i want to wack them on the head with those weights sometimes...seriously:confused:

i am off to my sons family picnic...thank goodness i still had 3 sick days left to take before the 29th!:p
 
Steph:: LMAO-IKWYM about the guys. The light weights they will use for some of the exercise makes me :rolleyes: also! :p I like the rests in M3! Gives me plenty of time to set up for the next exercise. Part of why I am not in love with M1 is because the rests are so short that I constantly had to pause or rewind to give myself set up time and that added 15 mins to every work out. :mad: Have fun at the picnic!

Wendy: sometimes i wonder if you prick one of the guys with a pin if he will deflate...:D
 
Good morning girls:D

Trying to decide what to do today. It seems like all I seem to want to do is weights these days. Has that ever happened to you? Every time i take out a step dvd i am not motivated.. Actually that is why i did plyo loegs yesterday. If Cathe considers it sort of cardio so can i:D Today is my usual CCC day so maybe that will perk me up a bit. I haven't stepped on the scale for fear...

So what is the plan for my partners in exercise weight loss today?

Today was supposed to be my rest day but I didn't want to take it yet so I did Step Blast + abs/planks from SJP.

I will take a rest day either over the weekend or Monday at the latest...
Might try to bang out STS legs + chest and back in one day this weekend and rest on the other day. Not sure what is prompting me to want to do this though! I am I nuts?? :eek:

WW weight in day today. Down .6 this week and hit the "5% of total body weight lost" milestone as well. :) My total weight loss goal is 10#. I've lost 7# as of today. I'm gettin' there slowly but surely even though WW tried telling me at my weigh in that I'm losing too fast all of the sudden??? WHAT!? I average a .5-1# weight loss per week! How is that FAST!?! :confused::rolleyes:

Steph:: A weekly committment to CCC is big! Good for you! Sure, I think we all get into those "ruts" where all we wanna do is this or we wanna do anything but that, etc. It happens. Just gotta work through it. Heck, I didn't step for about 2 years straight w/the exception of the VERY occassional IMAX 2 work out. That's it! Eventually I came back around to it though so just do what makes ya happy! :)
