WW Check In--Week of June 12th!

Good Morning.

I was last to check in on Friday so no personals to catch up on but I figured I would get us going for the week.

Y'day I FINALLY started M3 with D25 chest and back + MMA Kickboxing. Good stuff! Feelin' it a bit this morning too. YEAH! :D

Today will be Squat Rack Legs D37 + cardio if I still have any energy left. :eek: M2 legs drained me-I couldn't add cardio to it so we'll see how this Meso is....

Went out with the girls Friday night and had a blast which included bad eats and several Captain and Diets. YUM but ofcourse the scale went up b/c of it y'day morning. Already on the downward trend again as of this morning though so I'm not worried.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Hi, thought I'd make a quick appearance!

My diet hasnt been great...too many TTOTM indulgences.

I have to work all weekend but did get a 30 quick walk/jog workout on the treadmill. My knee is still doing ok, few twinges here and there, but I did come to an epiphany/"duh" moment when I was on the treadmill. I realized I've been running with poor posture!! I've been leaning too far forward to both watch my footing so I dont fall and also leaning forward to check the time left/time to jog vs walk during my running program. So I made a conscious effort to straighten my spine and immediately felt less strain on my knees! Granted, I still have knee issues but holy cow I couldve slapped myself, I've been making things worse for so long with poor running posture! DUH!

Anyway, gotta get to work. I hope to find time to do KCM's Spllt Sessions upper body again later.

Today is official weigh in day and i am down another .2...slowly but surely:D
today i am hoping to do a legs sts (not sure which one..any suggestions wendy?) and a cardio...matbe the peak fitness again... really not sure It will depend on my mood later on..

I'll bbl got to go wake everybody up for school! only 10 more days left of school for the kiddos...yeah!

This morning's work out was the Body Rock 20 min interval cardio I did last week followed by her 500 mountain climber challenge! :eek:

Y'day I did D37 legs and actually still had energy for cardio so I did CTX Power Circuits Cardio + abs. I left out the k/b circuit for time and inserted jax, jump rope and hi knee/lo butt kicks in place of the lower body weights in the step circuit. Good stuff. :D

Stacy:: Hope you were able to squeeze in a work out after work y'day!!!

Steph:: Well as far as STS legs goes I recall disc 9 being KILLER in M1 and for M2-just close your eyes and pick one coz they all hurt like hell! LOL
 
Well just finished peak fitness cardio...I like:D fun, good sweat..

Wendy:when you talk about the killer legs its like you are getting me all excited! i have done all the plyo legs and love then, I have done all the meso 1 legs and liked them too...so now i am ripping up my meso 2 pack and choocing one of the legs....ill let you know how it goes..

Steph:: You must tell me how your M2 leg routine goes and which one you did! I know there is one that seemed harder then the rest of them but I can't remember which one it was! :rolleyes: Yes, I took breaks during the mountain climbers. lol. I did the first 100, rested for a few seconds and then rested for a few seconds after every 50 from that point on. KILLER!:eek:
 
Hey Wendy I am back after disk 20...mmm..well I much prefer the plyo legs in terms of intensity.. The tri-sets were fine but i think i need to get a lot heavier weights..
How do you like the plyo legs...they are so much fun because its a super cardio as well..My legs are pretty strong though and i never get doms no matter the workout..again i think i need heavier weights...i convinced my hubs to get me a barbell with eights for mothers day so next purchase will be 20 and 25 i think..
For the plie squats i was able to double up my weights to get a 24 pound but my hands are too small to make a 30 combo
 
Steph:: Yep-you definitely need heavier weights! You will soooo feel M2 legs once you are using the proper weight load for it! :eek: I did one Plyo Legs work out once long before I ever even tried to do the entire program and it kicked my azz! :eek: I am doing SRL with this rotation but will give PL a go next time for sure cause like Cathe always says...Change is good! ;) I have the Bowflex select tech dumbbells that go up to 52.5 pounds a piece, regular db's from 2 to 25#, a barbell and about 80-85# of plates for it, a 10# weighted vest, platemates, pace weights and 2 sets of weighted gloves. I would like to buy a heavier vest (for SRL specifically) and two more 10# plates for my BB so that I don't have to load as many plates for heavier weight loads though but beyond that I am pretty well stocked. I am an exercise equipment/dvd junkie though so I've gone on many a shopping spree over the years to collect everything I have! LOL ;)
 
I'm in awe of your leg workouts!! With my bad knees I've never been able to workout my legs sufficiently enough to get them strong or shapely :( Last time I did a plyo workout I couldnt walk right for about 4-6 weeks and my knee would give out randomly when I would walk up or down stairs.

I didnt workout yesterday after work was too bushed, much like today. Definitely will workout tomorrow. Weight was up 2 lbs this morning so I'm hanging at 130lb not where I want to be at all, but with the way my eating has been as of late, it's no big shocker.

I'll report back tomorrow after my workout....
 
ok... i just had to do plyo...so after supper I attacked plyo....wooohooo...
okay the fact that we had pizza for supper and i felt guitly had nothing to do with it:eek:
off to do some firewalkers...
check in tomorrow..

Stacy: that water weight is just horrible;) i am sure tomorrow will be a better day:D
 
Good Morning.

Woke up this morning with even MORE DOMS in my legs!:eek: Decided to take it easy because of that (and another Body Rock work out that's on tap for tmrw!!!!) so here's the work out that I did:

4DS HIS cardio-platform only-no risers-no blasts-no challenge-strictly the 3 step combos (about 20 mins). I am learning this one so most of the energy out put was in my brain as opposed to my body so it was the perfect choice! :p
4 mins of varied plank work.
STS Extended Stretch.

Steph:: You followed up Plyo Legs with firewalkers!? :eek: You are as crazy as me, woman! LOL How are the legs feeling NOW? :p

Stacy:: Sorry about your knees. That's a bummer. So what work out did you do today?

Still don,t know what i am going to do today...thinking...some sort of cardio..maybe ill peak challange again..not really a hiit even though she says it is.. we shall see...after lunch ill check in

No workout yet, had errands to run this morning, then meeting MIL for lunch...planning on just soup or salad.

I'll check back later after my workout!

All this talk about Body Rock and Peak Challenge...gonna have to check them out, don't really know much about either!

Good job on Peak!!! WTG! You can do the MC challenge. Just break it up in whatever way you need to! Report back when you are done! I'll bet you do better then you think! :)

Few questions....is "Peak" the Peak 10 workouts by Michelle Dozios, if so I have the Interval Burn but havent done it yet.

Is Body Rock the BodyRock Tv site?? If so, that looks like a cool site!! The woman in the workouts has a kicka** body!! I'll definitely have to peruse the site, I like the workout and diet challenges....dont know about squats and lunges with a sandbag though, my knee hurt just watching it!

I survived lunch....vegetarian vegetable soup, half a pickle spear and about 5 potato chips! Eating "only" 5 chips is a milestone for me, lol.

Still no clue on the workout yet, it's been a few days since I've worked out, so I'm thinking circuits....or maybe trying Peak 10 Interval Burn (probably minus the last phases, too high impact for me)...or maybe STS Total Body...decisions, decisions!

I've been reading the Tracy Anderson Metamorphosis posts over at VF...I feel myself getting enabled but I doubt I'll cave. The workouts are pricey, I have a feeling I'll be bored and TA gets on my nerves! So why am I even enabled???!!!!

Yep! That's it! She sure does have a kick @zz body! OMG I would die for that shape! :eek: No worries about the sandbag stuff-do all of that stuff as body weight exercises OR use lighter weights if that will work for you. Bottom line is modify modify modify. Make it all work for you! :) I am considering a BR rotation once I complete STS! I will use the BR work outs as my main-stay and supplement with everything else as I see fit! I'm excited!

Good job on lunch! ^5's for the chip accomplishment! I know how hard it can be!!!!!
