I just wanted to let everyone know the great things a good podiatrist has done for me. For years I have been working out with videos, treadmill, aerobics and so on. I would usually do about a week of good working out and then have to take off for at least a couple of days because I would have heel pain, sore ankles, aching shins and so on. I've had plantar fasciatis and shin splints before. I even started getting some knee and hip pain. But, I reluctantly went to see a podiatrist because my husband said it would help. I didn't believe him but I did it anyway. They did some x-rays and discovered that I have slightly flat feet. I had no idea! She said it wouldn't hurt someone that doesn't work out much but because I do, it is causing me pain. She made some insoles for my shoes (pricey but insurance pays if you have met your deductible). I have been using them and I must say that the pain is gone. Now the only pain I have is from lifting too much or stretching too far or something. I feel so much better I just wanted to share it. If you are are experiencing pain like I mentioned, please consider seeing a podiatrist for these insoles. They have truly helped me out!
