I was wondering Cathe's thoughts on pre, intra, and post workout supplements. If there is a previous thread/article she's written covering this, could someone point me the way? I've searched, but I can't seem to find one. Thanks!
Find below article previously written by cathe. There are probably more answering your question.
People can CLAIM being cleaner than other common mortals because they consume zero protein powder.
Without embarking in any lengthy unproductive debate, we are all entitled to opt for what "we think" is the best!
Also, in one of Nia Shanks's previous podcasts, there was a discussion of peri-workout supplements. I THINK it was this one with Alan Aragon, but I'm not sure: http://www.stitcher.com/podcast/web...-aragon-unplugged-exposing-the-truth-37537903
(It could have been the one with Brad Schoenfeld...)
Basically, the conclusion was that the only ones that research shows work are caffeine and creatine. Others are a waste of money at best; at worst, dangerous. Oh, also beets and greens really 'work', says the research.
Hope that helps -- I'd love to hear Cathe's thoughts.
