working out for more than an hour

do any of you find that when you workout for more than 1 hr a day you eat more or are more hungry?
 
I sadly eat more when I do a long and hard workout. I need to learn to control how much and what I am eating. I am not loosing weights, I am eating more that before, but not gaining since I work out hard. But to lose weight.... I need to control. But I get so hungry and I feel I need carbs, so I eat so much bread :(. brown bread, because I only love that kind of bread, but still! I would like to loose 10 pounds... it's not necessary, but would not say no and I have to stop all that carb and cheese.... just love it...
 
Yes. I am on Day 5 of Fitness Freak's strength rotation right now and after each workout (especially ones that include cardio) I am starving! I have a smoothie a few minutes afterwards (about 6:30am) and don't eat again until 9am. Before, this was fine, but now I am already hungry by 7:30am!

I tried drinking coffee before I workout and this seems to help. However, my tummy does make really weird sounds about 45 mins after I start working out. It's 8:00 right now and, sadly, I am very hungry.

As far as eating a lot, I have been good except for yesterday. I had a lot of ice cream and chocolate chips. However, I went out to eat and only had steamed vegetables and rice, so I'm not too worried about it.:)
 
Yes, but only if it it is weight training that I am doing quite exhaustively. And since I get hungrier, I respect my body's signals and eat more. I so rarely experience true hunger that to feel it at these times is the clearest signal for more nutrition and calories that my body could give me. Respect that. Eat some protein and carbs, avoid nutritionally useless snacking. Feed the muscle.

I'm like Clare, I almost never experience hunger pains any more (unless I don't eat for a really long time). It has been so weird this week to be so hungry.
