<-- was doing some lovely yoga and mom called and asked if <-- had time to talk: Apparently the big oak tree by their house lost it’s big limb at 3:15 in the morning last night and blocked the road. The city has come out and chopped it into pieces and the president of the homeowners assoc told them they have a say in whether or not they take down the half of the tree that remains and plant a new baby tree, or if they leave it as is. My mom kept saying “it isn’t pretty anymore”. The woman has never talked about the tree being pretty before now… <-- didn’t know they cared at all. The tree didn’t hit their house, it didn’t smash a car, no one was around, it woke them up at 3:15 with a big noise.
Then, the kicker. She refers to this as TRAUMATIC. Several times. In a shaky voice.
