My hubby and I have been invited to a fancy New Years eve party this year. I can not wear the one appropriate dress I have coz I have quickly grown out of it!:) SO-I am forced today to take a ride to...of all places during the Christmas rush...THE MALLS...to go shopping for a fancy maternity outfit for the evening! I am done Christmas shopping and never had to set foot in a mall and now I have to go and I'm not even shopping for gifts! GRRRR x( lol
Anyway ladies, please wish me luck that I will find something in short time so that I can get the heck outta there!!!!! And also, pray for me that i won't cost an arm and a leg too! lol

Well, I went shopping yesterday and I was quite successful! :)

I went to Motherhood and bought a long black skirt, a dressy peasant style top, pantyhose and even undies, all for for under $70.00! I thought that was a pretty good deal!

I had gone shopping in Target a couple of weeks back for general maternity wear. The one by me had very little in the way of dress clothes unfortunatley. I ended up buying most of my maternity clothes at Kohl's but they didn't really carry dress clothes either.

Good deal, Wendy!

Due to the style, you'll probably be able to wear your peasant blouse post pregnancy too! I am tempted to go out to the madness of the malls this time of year to look for last minute deals on outfits!

Jennifer,

I love the peasant style tops! I have 4 of them now and I am thinking I could definately wear 3 of them post pregnancy. The one is too big on me now but it was a great deal so i bought it for the last couple of months when I will be at my biggest...so that top probably won't cut it later on...but the other 3 should.:)

To be honest, if the belly portion of the skirt I bought will lay flat when there is no baby there to pop it out, I could wear that post too! I would just have to make sure I wear tops long enough to cover the belly.

I was sooo scared to shop for maternity clothes at first. I thought I would hate everything, and I would think I looked FAT instead of pregnant, but actually, I have never had an easier, more fun time shopping than I have had for all my maternity clothes!:D

So when are you due, in April? I am 18 weeks and due on May 21st. As much as I am afraid of labor/delivery, I still can't wait! I am sooo excited! Every time I think about it I get choked up and want to cry...but it's a happy cry, ya know?
