This site has been around awhile, but I'd thought I'd mention it for anyone who, like me, may have trouble buying for certain individuals on my list. I find it hardest to shop for my parents and sister unless they give me some new ideas simply b/c I've exhausted nearly every other creative possibility over the years.
On wishlist.com, they (and you) can set up a wish list, where you can link items directly. I love it because I don't think I even need to leave the house to do all my shopping this year.
And if your whole family uses the site, you can tell if someone else has already purchased a particular item.
There's also a WishList Donation component to the site, where you can donate to individuals, non-profits, and organizations.
