Wierd Food Combos....

Okay...I was just thinking about food (surprise surprise! }( ) and was wondering how many of us eat stuff that we think others would look at as wierd, gross, etc. I'm talking specifically about food combinations like apples and cottage cheese, etc...though I don't think anyone would deem that as wierd!

So what do I eat that I think you all my lift an eyebrow at???

*I put a little splenda in cottage cheese when I want something sweet.

*I've put cottage cheese on top of a veggie burger and eaten it with a knife and fork.

*I mix up whole wheat pasta and cottage cheese and eat it. I will also add broccoli to it.

That's what I can think of off the top of my head.

Anyone else??

Wendy - you're just plain weird!! ;-)

My kids and my bf think everything I eat is weird but the only thing I can think of that is truly bizarre is chocolate and beer. Haven't had that combo in a long time, though! :p

cottage cheese/fiber one/yogurt all mixed up together (without any milk-yuck)
some peanut butter with chicken
tuna fish with a little bit of jalepeno cheese sauce

Chocolate and beer? Angie - you're weird! ;-) LOL!

Mine is ice cream and french fries. I was dipping my fries into ds' ice cream last week at a fast food restaurant and a lady asked if I was pregnant. (BTW - HELL NO!)

Just last Saturday I made me some pasta shells, tuna and a chipotle cheese sauce. It was rather tasty, but not something I would have normally come up with.

I actually thought that the chocolate and beer thing sounded pretty tastey! :9 lol

I'll have to try it sometime!:)

Ok the weirdest thing I have combined and there are a ton, is a tunafish sandwich with chocolate chips.....NOW wait I know what your thinking but its good. And if I go a bit more nuts I add a layer of potato chips. Something about the sweet and salt on the tuna is awesome. I know some of you are about to hurl!

Yuck! I just ate a tuna sandwich...Great - Now I feel sick! J/K - that is very strange though :)

For some reason, when I eat salt & vinegar chips I crave orange juice - so I eat those together. You'd think I'd get heartburn, but I haven't so far. I also like to dip pizza in ranch dressing...low fat dressing, of course ;)

I know it does sound icky when I read it myself, LOL, the weirdest thing is I have been eating that for so many years I cannot remember how in the world I would have ended up with choc chips in tuna anyway...thats the stargest part. I must have been a creative kid:9

when my sister and I were just kids, we used to love to mix peanut butter and syrup together. sometimes syrup and cottage cheese. When I think of it now I want to puke!! EEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWw!!!

Angie, chocolate goes with everything!!!!:+ :+

For me, although I haven't had it in a really long time, is a peanut butter sandwich with orange juice to drink. I went through a period where I was having that almost every day. Hmmm, I have some orange juice and some peanut butter at home.:7

A smell I still remember from childhood is peanutbutter and mayonaise, my mom used to make sandwiches with that. Yuck!
My kids and DH like to mix baked beans and cottage cheese, anyone else do this?
I love vanilla yogurt over fresh strawberries.

I feel sick! x( yuck, did you ever try any? It sounds so....gross, and I am not picky! ugh!

Missy

Beer most certainly goes with chocolate!

We used to have beer, brownies and salt & vinegar potato chips during our chemistry study groups in college. YUM!

DH eats peanut butter sandwiches with macaroni & cheese. Gross.

:D Nicole

Colleen--my mother made peanutbutter and mayo sandwiches too. I thought my brother and I were the only children ever to eat such a combination.

My children have never eaten a peanutbutter and mayo sandwich.

Maggie:)
