Why do YOU do Cathe's workouts?

I'd love to look like Cathe. I'd love to look like some of you. However, I've finally accepted that I never will. So why do I do Cathe? Because then I can hike a mile straight up a mountain in the Virgin Islands with my DH and barely breathe hard. And then I can go ocean kayaking for 6 hours and feel nothing the next day except a little tiredness in my forearms. I do Cathe because she allows me to enjoy the things I enjoy in life even more. Thank you Cathe.

There are numerous other reasons but here's just a few:
1. Relieves my stress
2. Gives me confidence I never had before
3. Makes me feel like a superwoman!
4. What else would I do for a hobby, stamp collecting?:p

I agree with you. Just like biking into town for 14 miles. Some days I feel like I could keep going another 10 or so. I see the average person my age and that is all I need to see to want to keep working out. I don't ever want "middle age spread" and will fight to never to have it. I just want to be the best I can be and I want to be strong! I know I won't ever look like Cathe either. Her body type is different then mine and just working out with Cathe makes me feel like I accomplished much just trying to keep up with a machine like her! I love the challenge of it all.

Well said Robin. And I do not ever want to look or feel my chronological age. Oh yeah, I'm old and still have young boys to keep up with - great motivation to keep on w/Cathe.

i was just thinking about this the other day, and you said the exact thing i was thinking then. i will never be that lean and cut (because eating yummy food puts a big smile on my face), but i can do so many of the things i love to do like hiking and running and sports without a worry. it makes me feel as though i have accomplished something each time a complete a workout of hers. and like charlotte said, i have seen most women my age and it scares the hell out of me!! that keeps me honest for sure!!
 
Well, I work out for all of the reasons listed here (and also my own personal vanity!), but I work out specifically with Cathe because I think she is the single, most motivating instructor out there. I like a few others, but to me Cathe makes workouts really fun and enjoyable. She always seems to be having a good time, and it's never at anyone else's expense. Like today, I did Imax2, and I always laugh at the end of that 9th blast where she is so happy. That's just pure personality, don't you think??

Pure FUN. That's why I work out with Cathe. Her workouts don't lose the fun factor, even though I have them memorized. And they challenge me, and they offer so many different ways to change up that challenge.

And, of course, because ever since I started using Cathe, I'm in the best shape I've ever been in.

I do Cathe's workouts because they are of excellent quality and one can always work up to a new level. These workouts also help me to accept my limitations and inspire me to overcome them at my own pace, much like yoga workouts. I don't have to lift the same weights as Cathe, often I can't so I work within my range and I am always excited to see improvements. Moral of the story, don't compare yourself to others. Do what you can do and you will reward yourself.:D
 
I use her workouts b/c of the fun factor. I've been exercising long before I discovered Cathe, but she's the only home step aerobics instructor that I actually enjoy. So to mix up the cardio a little, in between machines & running/jump rope/walking/etc. during good weather, and also b/c it's convenient & I don't have to drive the 10+ minutes to & from the gym at 5:15 am. Instead I can catch an extra half hour's sleep & still get a great cardio workout.
 
I workout to Cathe because she challenges my body like no other instructor ever has. She makes me feel so accomplished and like I can conquer the world aferwards. She gets your heartrate up within minutes of the workout and is so thorough with her strength training dvd's. She is absolutley adorable without being cutesy and she is truly an amazing and giving person. I look forward to all of her new stuff and am NEVER disappointed. In a nutshell there is noone else out there that compares to her.

I workout with Cathe b/c....
1. No other workout/instructor kicks my butt the way Cathe does.
2. She stays true to HER classic style despite the vocal few at another fitness website.
3. I usually like her music choices.
4. I like that she tries to be inovative with the DVD technology (even if everything doesn't turn out perfectly, the quality of her DVD's are head and shoulders above anyone else out there).
5. I like that I can use premixes or mix and match to make my own mish moshes from her well chaptered DVD's.
6. When I watch what I eat I can lose weight quickly b/cCathe's workouts burn calories big time!

Cathe really challenges me. Her workouts are very difficult, but I feel so encouraged by her that I grit my teeth and just keep plugging away. I am amazed at how much I can do, now, that a year ago would have had me yelling at her "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?"
 
Here are a few main reasons :)

1. She has taken me to my next level of fitness
2. She isn't barbie like at all
3. Her workouts are very thorough
4. I simply enjoy her step workouts and excellent cueing
