Who is in the path of the icestorm

Yes, it's pretty bad. I had to drive about 40 miles on country roads through South Central Kansas. So glad to be warm and safe now. Everyone I know is planning to hunker down for a few days. A great time to relax and be still. Let's just hope the trees don't start snapping...

It has hit here in Oklahoma. We have had sleet all day. It is still coming down. It is very cold. Luckily everyone got off early in our family. DH and I are sitting here with the fire going. Went out and filled up the cars etc last night.

We are ready here in southeast MO. I pray we don't lose power like we did in December.

Northeast Oklahoma here, and we are covered in ice and sleet, started about noon yesterday and will continue today and tomorrow...

I wish we could have snow here! (Philly) I love to stay in and sent by the window and watch it come down! It has felt more like spring here although it is getting colder.

We here in Kansas City are in the path of it. We had a lot of sleet last night and many auto accidents in the area. It is 17 degrees right now. We are getting ready for the next round, which should start about noon today--severe storm warning from noon today through tomorrow night. Stepson is here visiting from DC, so we went out yesterday and rented movies and hit the grocery store to "lay in supplies" as they say. Plan to watch the playoff games and a few movies and make a big pot of chili and some cornbread. As long as we don't lose power we'll be okay. Dogs and cat don't seem to be too concerned about any of it.;-)

In Oklahoma, we wish it was snow too . Unfortunately it's freezing rain. The streets are like driving on a "Ice Rink".
If Philly wants our Ice, they can have it....:)

Literally watching the ice storm descend. The trees are glistening with ice, but the roads are still just wet. Just waiting for one of the trees to crash and take our electric out. Filled the propane tank today. Hey, maybe we will get a snow/ice day out of it. Yep, I'm a teacher!;)

I am in Springfield, IL and we've got round one here and just waiting for the next. Freezing rain all night last night, woke up to 3 big branches cracked and in the yard. My neighbors tree split and a big part crashed down just missing landing on their house. We are under an ice storm warning until Monday around noon I believe. We got hit in December also, I hope this one isn't as bad...some were without power for a week last time.

We've had a heck of a year, started in March with the tornado, then 2 weeks later snow storm & now going on 2nd ice storm. I feel blessed though, besides 3 trees, roof damage, and going without power for a week after tornado, all my family & friends are safe. During the tornado a house 3 streets over was ripped to shreds, they lost everything. Makes you appreciate everything you have.

Jen, I am over near Champaign, and it is incredible how just 90 miles east makes a difference. All we got Friday into Saturday was a lot of rain. This morning(Sunday) looks like the trees are shiny, but not too bad. Roads look wet, not icey. We are suppose to get more today, and it stop tommorow, which is good since I have to take my son back to ISU. In December, we lost power for about 8 hours, and a few branches, but not near as bad as to the West.

I remember the tornado last Spring. That was horrible.
