Who has gotten into shape using CATHE exclusively?

I'm just wondering who here has used Cathe alone to get into shape? (Along with a healthy diet change, of course.)

I am out of shape and have gained over 25 lbs over the last 8 months. I know that I can get results if I really try (since I was in pretty good shape 8 months ago). Anyhow, I guess I am just looking for some inspiration.

TIA,
Shirley:)

Yup!! I lost 72lbs over 9 months, and did it using the WW Points system, and completely Cathe workouts.

Good luck with your weight loss! Cathe's workouts are more than adequate for that purpose.

Congratulations Sandra! Wow! I hope you took progress photos.
I am starting the WW pts. I used WW a couple years ago and lost 25 lbs, but over the last 8 months gained it back.

Shirley, I have been in pretty good shape most of my life except for a couple of years after having my daughter. I've done the Firm, I had a personal trainer & also just followed own routine with step tapes at home. I have been in the best shape of my life since I really started just doing Cathe. Maybe with some running thrown in there somewhere.

She has such a well-rounded routine. She conveys the message that it's equally important to do weights as well as cardio. Just stick with it. Keep a healthy eating plan & I really encourage you to try to commit to one of her rotations. Maybe like the AUG 2004 or the January 2004 rotation. Don't beat yourself down if you can't match her intensity or strength but make it your goal to stick to it as closely as possible. I know you will see positive results & that would further encourage you.

Best of luck!
Marla:)

Shirley -

I have always given the Firm credit for getting me to start exercising (many years ago), but Cathe gets all the credit for whipping me into shape! The only thing I add to her is running, and I've just incorporated that into the mix in the last month!

Just stick with it and Cathe won't let you down!

Me. 15 lbs. in 3 months. Cathe 6 days a week and cutting out the junk food and watching my portion size.

(Wow Sandra, that's awesome!!)

I never have had a problem with my weight (genetics I'm sure) but since I have been viewing and particularly participating in this forum (about 4 weeks now) I have seen a difference in my overall 'shape'.

Cathe has the best videos I've come across and what is better yet is that she has a great group of 'followers' that are very inspiring!

So jump aboard the "cathe" bandwagon and you are sure to see results!

I weighed 180 when I started Cathe. Didn't do anything but Cathe. I wore a size 14 (sometimes 16) at that time. Now, I have no idea what I weigh, but I wear an 8 in pants (sometimes 6) and a 6 in skirts. I think Cathe is great for weight loss.

Also, I do not watch what I eat at all. I'm sure if I did, I'd be a lot less lumpy, still - it's motivating to know I've lost several dress sizes through exercise alone. Also, I have a fairly low resting heartrate and feel better physically than I ever have before.

Cathe rocks my world and I am so very glad I discovered her!

I've been working out for many years but I discovered and started working out with Cathe in 1993 - though I never had weight to lose, my fitness level definitely increased with her workouts. What was most important for me though is that I always looked forward to her workouts and as the years have gone by and she has continued to increase her workout offering, I have just continued to get better!

I have... along with Weight Watchers.
Lost 45 + pounds and made Lifetime in WW. I thank Cathe for getting my body toned, fit and in terrific shape. I look better now than when I was in my 20's and I'm close to being 38 in May. Family that I had not seen in awhile kept confusing me with my 14 yr daughter who is a dancer and has that dancer body over the holidays. I can not express how wonderful I feel. I went from a tight size 12/14 into a very loose fitting size 4. :7

Congratulations!!! Great Job! I am planning to start WW (again) this week. Bad Food is my big problem .... I love it and it loves me.:9

I lost 80 pounds but not w/ Cathe unfortunately. I did a thought out eating plan. NOT a diet. I read 2 books "Outsmarting the Female Fat Cell" by Debra Waterhouse and "The Seven Secrets of Slim People" by Shawn Goodman and Vikki Hansen. Both are very good. It's not dieting and it explains why diets don't work due to deprivation and so on. Sounded good to me. I thought long and hard before jumping on the ban wagon simply because I wanted a lifestyle change. I knew that w/ a diet...I would adventually have to get off of it and get back to regular eating. It's true. You can't diet forever. So...with this it taught me how to eat and when to eat according to my hunger scale etc. I have maintained my weight for 5 years now and it works great in my life still today. For my own workouts I did Taebo 5-6 days a week and NO weight lifting. I have since reached my goal and then met Cathe from her Fit tv shows. That is how I came along with Cathe shows. I am a fitness instructor and crave good and tough workouts. My first workouts with Cathe were her weight videos. Muscle Endurance and Power Hour. You see...I HATED lifting weights. But, my new years resolution ((LAST YEAR)) was to lift weigths and learn step. Well...I got the weight part down pat by Feb of 2004....but I conqoured the step goal in December. Man...it took me a YEAR to get a step routine down of Cathe's. Giggle... I mean to tell you....I have 2 left feet on the step but have gotten much better! But, I will never teach it!!! But, to answer your question....in a round about way...YOU CAN get full fit and firm by doing Cathe's workouts. Yes you can!!!

Good Luck!

Congratulations on your success! I absolutely LOVE reading people's weight loss stories. I am looking forward to getting into shape for my health and not for other people.

Wow that is awesome!Congrats on your journey! I am 49 years old have lost 50 lbs in the last year and have about 50 to go using the WW points plan. I have just started Cathe workouts in the last few months on TV. My hubby got me the Basic steo/Body Fusion DVD for Xmas and I love it. The Body fusion was real tough. Thanks for your input.

Don't ride faster than your guardian angel.

I've been doing Cathe exclusively (plus Yoga) since about August, when I was able to get some more of her workouts. Since September, I've lost 30lbs. I do one Cathe workout and one Yoga workout per day, 6 days/week. I eat clean (except for Christmas and New Years when I totally splurged), and stagger my calories (keeping a food journal and tracking calories).

I've tried everything, but this is the only combination that has ever worked for me. Cathe + Yoga + Calorie Staggering w/clean eating.

Good Luck and keep us posted.

Elsie,
Thanks for sharing. I'll definitely keep you all updated on my progress. I did the Push Pull workout yesterday and tomorrow I plan to start the August 2004 rotation (with some modifications since I don't own all of the workouts). I also plan to take my measurements and before photos. (yuk)

Have a good week!
Shirley
