White Water Rafting

I am going WWW for the first time in a couple of weeks and I'm trying to figure out what to wear. The water will still be cold, so I know i need more than a bathing suit and Tshirt. Any suggestions? I do not want to but any specialty clothing. I was thinking some fast drying capris, tshirt and old sneaks? TIA Oh, I'll also be camping that weekend so I can't carry much with me.

What about the quick dry convertible pants at REI. The bottom half of the leg comes off to make them instant shorts. I have mine coming in the mail.

How cold will it be? Most places will give you a wet suit if the water is below a certain temp. (some will rent for a small fee). I'm not sure what part of the country you are in so maybe the water won't be that cold where you are... up here (New England), a wet suit is a must right now. Otherwise I'd recommend anything not made of cotton since it is slow drying. EMS and REI have some really cute active wear.

Agree you can usually get a wet suit... some places they are free others a small charge. I HIGHLY recommend getting them (and you get booties too). I've been a bunch of places - CO, MT, Novia Scotia. You will love it but DONT skimp and say you dont want the wet suit!

Underneath DONT wear cotton. Let us know how it is
