Which video is right for me?

Dear Cathe,
When I bought a step a couple of years ago, it came with a copy of your video "All Step." This video was too quick and difficult for me to catch up in terms of choreography. I did like you and your style of teaching, and you don't get on my nerves like some of your perky colleagues do. I can see that exercise afficionados really seem to like you better than mast, and I want to enter into this company. Which videos can you recommend for me? I am very physically fit, so I like something that is challenging. But my brain is a bit challenged, so I need something that is not too difficult to follow.
Sincerely,
Marguerite Regan

If you have access to weights, I'd suggest BootCamp. An intense, but fairly simple cardio workout is the original Interval Max (not IMax 2). If you like kickboxing, Kick Punch and Crunch is hard core and not tricky not learn. Other easier to learn step workouts are Step Heat, Step Max and Mega Step Blast. I have all of Cathe's workouts and rarely do All Step b/c I trip over myself everytime. Another one that was hard for me to learn was Rhythmic Step and the step portion of Body Max b/c it was so fast.

Good Luck and dont give up!

Welcome to Cathe! I had a similar experience with All Step. It was difficult and I was turned off of Cathe tapes for a few years. Then I was pursuaded by someone on the Ya Ya's board to try an older video, such as Step Heat or The Wedding Video. I was instantly hooked. The workout is intense, yet the moves are athletic and they are a great intro to Cathe's style and her moves. Not dancy or spinny like all step at all!

Good Luck!

I understand the difficulty, Marguerite, though I haven't tried All Step. I don't have as much trouble with the workout---physically, as I do with my brain not catching up in step workouts. I think this is menopause.;-) For me, anyway. I have NEVER been able to dance(did the obligatory slow dance with Dh at my own wedding) and have two left feet totally.

I like Bootcamp, and have you tried the step work on Cardio and Weights? I can actually keep up with that.
