Which Tae Bo?

Any suggestions as to which Tae Bo video would be appropriate for someone who already has Power Kicks and Janis Saffel's Kick It? I was thinking of adding a Tae Bo video to my collection, but am not sure where to start. I have read that the original series is not very good with form, but the live series is better...is that right? If so, which volumes would you recommend?

Thanks for your input!!

I've got Advanced Live 1-4

.....and I like them all. Oddly enough, though, #4 is my least favorite only because it doesn't have the intense leg work that he usually tacks on the end of the tapes. I have "issues" with my genically challenged legs, so I need all the tough leg work I can get.

Number four is more what you could call a "fun" tape. They are all enjoyable, but in this one Billy Blanks cuts loose, gets funky and dances at the end of the tape. Some of the sixties dances like the "monkey," and they form a can-can line.

Bottom line....I love Taebo and recommend all of them. Enjoying your workouts is what it's all about.

Tae Bo

I've owned over two dozen kickboxing tapes, including the original Tae Bo series. While I liked the "basic" workout in that series, it was too short for a regular workout. I also had some major safety concerns with the Advanced tape. None of the VF reviews of the new Tae Bo Live tapes tempted me to get back into Tae Bo until I started seeing the reviews on Advanced Live 4. I really enjoy this tape, and would recommend it for anyone wanting an advanced TB tape, or wanting to try TB "one more time".

Hi HoneyBunch!

It's Deb & I was wondering where around our town did you find the "Live TB" tapes? I have the 1st. four Billy came out with several years ago. I liked them at the time but also felt like they were dangerous for the knees with all those fast kicks. I think besides the new Cathe tapes, I need something else to Shake-Up my W/O. Thanks for any advice. I mail-ordered for the 1st four in his series and it was quite expensive. Hope they have them discounted somewhere. Thanks for the recommendation.

Hey, neighbor!

I get them via the "subscription method" from Taebo...I get one per month, and will stop when I get #6. They run about $26.00 that way, but I do them when I get them, so to me it's worth it. Also I have 2 kids who are getting into it, so I can rotate my tapes with them.

I have had no problems so far with any kicks, even with the advanced tapes.

Thanks HoneyBunch!

I'll have to put those on my wishlist, I guess. What's 6 more tapes????? My problem is that I want them all!! Thanks for the info, Deb

Oh my goodness!! WHAT HAPPENED??

I was reading this thread, and my credit card just JUMPED out at me!! It ran to the keyboard (yes, apparently it has legs of its own!) and started hopping around! It typed

h t t p : / / t a e b o . c o m (enter)

and VOILA!! There I was at the Tae Bo homepage! And before I knew it, I had ordered Tae Bo AL 4 with that trusty friend, Mr. Credit Card. Has anything like this ever happened to YOU?? Oh my. I think I'd better go sit down. I think I am having "hear-look-inations" as Tigger would say. . .

But the order? Now THAT was real!

YES SUSAN!!

I think my credit card is in better shape than yours cause it beat yours to the finish line last night!! I am not believeing myself as I have sooo many tapes to keep me occupied for the next 20 years!!! This MUST be a sickness!! Let me know what you think when you get your new tapes!!

I, too, went to the site last night, but didn't order because I had ordered some tapes from Collage the night before!! But I do plan on ordering #4 since it was recommended here!
It's become an obsession!!
