Which one do I start with?

I have been using the Firm for about six months. I have seen some results and I am not really dissatisfied.

However, I have been seeing Cathe on Fitv and I am intrigued. The workouts seem grueling - but I can see the results in both Cathe and her cast.

I ordered a catalog from Cathe, but quite frankly, I wouldn't even know where to begin! With a step tape? Which one?

Where would a beginner begin?:)

Thanks,
Andi

I suggest you start with the CTX series. Excellent cardio with weight training that can be done in about an hour!

Good Luck!

Andi, you will get very different answers to your question as we all have different goals and preferences.

I started with the Pure Strength series, Cardio Hits and Ab Hits. The step workouts in Cardio Hits can be challenging even if you've been stepping for years, which I had been when I got my DVD, but they're all doable and a lot of fun once you've learned the routines. Ab Hits is a compilation of ab workouts from Cathe's older series. It gave me a good variety of workouts to do over the course of a week, so I never got bored.

With these three DVD's, I got a wonderful sampling of what Cathe's other workouts would be like, although nothing prepared me for the Intensity series, which pushed me beyond my limits.

You might want to start with the Intensity series as well. It delivers what the catalog promises.:)

Hi Andie! Welcome and nice to hear from you. I would start with three of my cardio workouts per week and two or three of my strength training workouts per week. They all vary in intensity and variety so it is hard to make a customized recommendation.

We are getting ready to release a DVD that has two step workouts (a 30 minute challenging beginner workout, and a 45 minute intermediate circuit workout) plus a 20 minute upper, 20 minute lower, and 10 minute ab workout. This DVD is called Basic Step and Body Fusion. I recommend this DVD mostly to learn my step choreography while getting your cardio workout. The workouts will challenge your body yet not overwhelm your brain. As for strength training, I think you will enjoy the toning workous on this DVD but I would also like to suggest the PS series, Muscle Endurance and Power Hour. I think these strength workouts contain the baseline of exercises that I offer in many of my other various workouts. You will get a good feel for the way I lift and form pointers I use in these tapes. Plus it will give you a taste of doing either total body workouts in one session or doing split workouts.

I hope this helps. Good Luck!
