I thought caliper's lied once you started to develop muscle and couldn't pinch correctly anymore. They'll tell you you have a lot less fat then you really do. Or anyway that's what the doctors showed on my field trip. He took 10 different students various weights and sizes did the pinch test, in 10 different places and write down what he got and added them up and did the average thing. Then he had them get in a tank of water with a bathing suit on, and then did another fat measurement. The calipers on the guy that was really muscular and the girl that had good muscle tone were off by about 10 points, basically told them they had much less fat then they really did. The calipers that tested the over weight kids, said they were even more fat then they really were. The only ones that it really did a pretty good job on was the kids in the middle weren't fat, but really didn't have much muscle. Would yours be the same as the doctors and fitness people use? Or do you have special ones that actually will work, if you got some muscle or a bit of fat? If so I'd love to get a pair, I think those would be awesome to actually see how much fat I have. Since I wasn't one of the 10 kids that were picked I didn't get to find out, at the hospital.
Thanks,
Kelly
