Which Cathe DVD to pair with Atletica 4?

I just bought Atletica 4, which is a body weight training DVD. It is only 30 min, so I would like to pair it with one of my Cathe cardio DVDs. However, my time is limited as I work out at 4.15 in the morning and only have an hour total. So I need to get warm up/cooldown, Atletica 4 and some cardio done in that time.

I was thinking of one of the 20-something minute premixes on CrossFire, but was wondering what anyone else thought? Maybe a little bit of Tabatacise?

I did think about the short Athletic Training premix, but I don't want to work my arms too much since there are a lot of push ups and planks in Atletica 4.

The cardio-type workouts I have are: CrossFire, To the Max, Afterburn, Slide/Glide, Cardio Supersets, Cardio Core Circuit, Athletic Training, Cardio Hiit, All Out, Tabatacise, Athletic Step, Imax 3

TIA!

To get the most out of Athletica 4, which is going to use up a lot of energy and include a cardio effect, I would want to be as fresh as possible coming into it. Therefore, I would avoid HiiT and Tabata workouts beforehand. Some All Out maybe, some of Athletic Step, the cardio only (minus blasts) portions of Imax 3. Basically, you would be using this cardio 30 mins as a great warm up before Athletica. Athletica is the focus of the day.

You might find that an even better pairing is Athletica, going as heavy as possible, followed by 30 mins yoga, to get the kinks out.

Thanks maddiesmum,

Atletica 4 is body weight only, no dumbbell weights, so I'm not sure if you were referring to 4 or another one of the Atleticas.

However, I do like the idea of the yoga option. There is a 28 min premix on Yoga Relax that I could do if I don't feel like doing cardio with it. For a cardio option, I think the cardio portion of Imax 3 sounds promising. That's only 31 min including warm up and cool down.

I think your first choice of Athletic Training is a great one. Doing any 20 to 30 min of it will make a great warm up for Athletica 4. I would keep the weights slightly under what you normally use and skip the cool down. Just go straight into Athletica 4. Any premixes from Afterburn, Cardio Supersets, and All Out with lighter weights will be my other choices. I love all 5 of these workouts.

I agree. The latest Powerstrike workouts are awesome. I love Ilaria.

I will probably try the Athletic Training premix before Atletica 4 next time to see how I like it.

Jacmar, have you done Powerstrike 7 yet? How do you like it compared to 6?

I have it in next week's rotation (I've only previewed it). I've already done Powerstrike 6 and loved it.
