Hi All,
I have never measured my body (before/after) for a workout but was going to start so that I could chart muscle progress. I just finished STS today and will be starting Body Beast next week.
This sounds crazy, but exactly WHERE do I measure my body? Mainly my bust and hips (I think I have the rest figured out).
For my bust, do I do it with or without a bra? Either way, do I do it at the widest part? (I have seen pictures online and of course they are always wearing a bra, but they don't keep the tape straight - it is always at an angle)
For my hips, where is that? I notice if I go up or down just a bit around my hips, there is a several inch difference because more or less of my butt is in that measurement.
I know if I just pick ONE spot per body part I can track progress as long as I keep measuring that ONE spot. However, I am curious as to what my bust and hip measurements are considered (it was asked for an online body fat calculation).
My main curiosity is muscle progression, but would like to know if I lean out a bit also (lose fat). I am guessing my biggest fluctuation point will be around my waist - below my belly button, but above my pubic bone. That seems to be where I fluctuate the most (belly bloat along with back flanks). However, I never see that measurement calculated. Perhaps because it fluctuates so wildly?
Thanks.
