Where is spring???

So much for being the first day of Spring. We got aroung 6 inches of snow here in Alton, Illinois (around the St Louis area)last night. I'm just glad we didn't get the 2 feet that some areas got. I hate snow. Even thought the roads weren't too bad, my husband drove me to work today. My poor dog. It was up to her armpits and she was trying to find a place to potty. I had to laugh though, she had to lift her legs up high so she could walk and then when she came inside she had iceballs all over her. She usually likes the snow but I think this morning was a little too deep for her.

Well, I guess I can be glad we don't have snow. Despite my dread of summer, I think I'm really out of the mood for snow. That's supposed to happen in January. :)

Spring will come. My horses and my dog are shedding. The grass is already greening up and the weeds are starting to grow. Daffodils and hycinths are blooming. So is my rosemary. A few trees are leafing out, and the early-bird type are actually blooming - bradford pears, especially.
 
I know it Kimbra. Here in Ohio (near cincinnati) my DD has a snowday today. I let my dog Snuggles (toy poodle) outside this morning and he took one look at me and came back in. ACK!!
 
it's nowhere to be found in NC. i am so disappointed. last week and the week before the weather was in the 70's and 80's now at the beginning of spring it's cold.:(
 
I live in TX we have yet to even have winter this year and it is already summer here. I think I am moving to Alaska for May-November, it is going to be a nightmare here this summer. Uhhhhh....I hate it!
 
It is not here today! It is snowing and cold out. I just filled up the birdfeeder as the birds are just going crazy for food. I can't wait for more warm weather again so I can ride my bike with my children.

It was nice out yesterday, but today, there are several inches of snow (that I just got done shovelling!) over everything.

Very sad, because all my daffodils and jonquils are up (three were blooming yesterday morning, but I cut them and took them into the office to 'save' them). If today had been a nice day, there would be quite a few blooming. :-(

I'm with you! I'm in Chicago, and I'm sick of this weather. We didn't get any snow, but it's FREEZING outside. And of course, my dogs wanted to take their time going to the bathroom this morning!x(

I really need some warmer weather here, or I'm going to go nuts!:p
