Where do I get a mini step?

Hi Frankie,
The mini step has not been released for retail sales yet but should be soon! It's a possibility they might even be out there as soon as this month. No one knows yet how much they'll be or where they will be sold (as far as I know) but I'm sure they will post here when they're ready!

I was just on eBay searching under Cathe Friedrich and saw two of what I think you are looking for. I was considering one for myself but then I saw they are just selling the "topper". I don't have any risers so that wouldn't work for me. I think they were bidding at $15. Hope this helped.

If you can't wait for the mini step, you can buy the Novel Notion box mentioned under the equipment shopping section of this website. But I'm betting the mini step will be a lot less expensive when it finally comes out, particulary because you can use any risers you may already have.

There are several people who post on the various fitness forums that we all visit, who have developed a great way to make homemade mini toppers. They look great and everyone who has one raves about them. I have to admit, as much as I wanted to wait for them to go retail, I went ahead and bought one from lovinglife (Renee) this morning. I could wait until the anticipated February retail date but now that it's up in the air, I had to cave! I think there will be more sentimental value to the homemade one anyway! LOL

PS It IS just the topper, not the risers that they are selling. I, fortunately, already have 8 risers so just needed the topper.

I know this is a dumb question, but why weren't these toppers ever available before? They were used on the CTX and PS videos. Months ago I read the instructions on how to make one, but I couldn't understand why they weren't available. TIA

Well, it wasn't for lack of (our) trying LOL I remember approximately three years ago a bunch of people from the various forums all wrote The Step Company and BEGGED them to make this. We told them that we were making our own and that there is a true market for this item. Their response was they didn't see it as anything they would want to market. It just seems so common sense (to us, anyway!) I'm glad there is finally a company who sees why this product is a good idea!
Karen :)
