Can you tell I'm griping this morning? Do people think the elves are going to empty that kitchen garbage???? Ok, deep breath, "serenity now."

LOL!

This reminded me a lot of this:

Q: How many women with PMS does it take to change a light bulb?

A: One.

Only ONE!! And do you know WHY? Because no one else in this house knows HOW to change a light bulb! They don’t even know that the bulb is BURNED OUT! They would sit in the dark for THREE DAYS before they figured it out.

And, once they figured it out, they wouldn’t be able to find the light bulbs despite the fact that they’ve been in the SAME CUPBOARD for the past 17 YEARS!

But if they did, by some miracle, actually find them 2 DAYS LATER, the chair they dragged to stand on to change the STUPID light bulb would STILL BE IN THE SAME SPOT!!

AND UNDERNEATH IT WOULD BE THE WRAPPER THE STUPID !#$% LIGHT BULBS CAME IN!

WHY? BECAUSE NO-ONE EVER CARRIES OUT THE GARBAGE!!

IT’S A WONDER WE HAVEN’T ALL SUFFOCATED FROM THE PILES OF GARBAGE THAT ARE 12’ DEEP THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE HOUSE. IT WOULD TAKE AN ARMY TO CLEAN THIS HOUSE!

. . . . . . . . . I’m sorry. . . what did you ask me?

Um, I don't even have PMS as an exuse. Wait, actually I think I do! But it's driving me crazy!!!

Just me and DH.... Asked him last week why he was walking empty milk carton to garage dumpster.........................................
Looked at me like I'm stupid and says: "Because the one in the pantry is full" .............................................

These polls suck 'cause you can only vote once!!! My Kids are genetically deficient when it comes to taking out garbage, doing recycling, closing doors, closing drawers, putting shoes away, taking their wrappers to said full garbage pail, putting laundry away, putting dishes in the dishwasher....., I could go on but will stop ruminating through their deficiencies and focus on how cute they are when they sleep:)

On another note, they do well in school, are respectful, kind, compassionate, love me to bits and the police have only called me regarding one of my little darlings indiscretions once:eek:

Ha! Funny you should post this! I just took out the garabage. If I don't do it, it doesn't get done. I also have to throw away the empty milk cartons in the fridge and empty boxes in the pantry.

OMG this is hilarious! I was going to post yesterday and ask, why are men physically incapable of putting a dish into the dishwasher that is only 3 feet away from the sink they dump it into instead. Drives me bananas. The garbage thing too. DH just keeps setting stuff on top, balancing it gently so it doesn't all topple. And he wonders why I medicate with food :7 Too funny...

I didn't know which to vote for. I get both. I have crammers here and then they ignore it when they can't cram any more, so guess who gets to take out the trash all of the time? You guessed it, ME x( !!!

Lea

Ok. I voted that my family ignores the garbage to give me the honours of taking it out. My kids are still small so they are allowed to get away with it, but my husband should know better.

The thing that gets to me more so is when they leave their garbage on the counter for me to put in the recycling bin. I don't know what to say about this because my husband is first offender with empty milk cartons, food containers, boxes, etc. He leaves it on the counter just above where the recycles go.x(

Also on garbage day, I'm the one running all over the house emptying the garbage cans while he stands outside waiting for me to give them to him so he carry them to the curb.

I have to admit I've crammed a bit in my day, but will take it away when it's absolutely full and DH isn't around. It's DH's job to take away the garbage and I have to say he's really good about it. I think he figures he's getting off easy only having to do the garbage, the lawn, and the wash. I do pretty much everything else. Knowing what I know now of other marriages I should count myself lucky that he does anything around the house at all.

Shelley, I remember that one. Love it.

I didn't vote because my DH doesn't even bother to crush stuff down, he just kind of balances stuff precariously on top of the old stuff.

Having said that, I don't think it's laziness. My DH has a weird aversion to throwing anything out, even if it's garbage. I think if it were up to him, he'd just keep all the garbage because, hey, there may be something in there that he may need someday. x( x( x( x(

I wish I were kidding.

Lol, Shelly.

I voted "take it away." I am the only one that empties the garbage, my son is 6 and my SO is in a wheelchair. My son takes out the garbage on garbage day though.:)

Ha! Nancy, my SO does that, too! It will be piled up 1 foot high sometimes before I will give in and empty it. Before the balancing, though, he crams the stuff down in, so when I try to take the bag out, there's nowhere for the top levels to go and several things always fall on the floor. Sometimes he just leaves garbage on the counters (only dry things, like wrappers or packages from food). If I ask him to take it out, he thinks I'm nagging him, and I think he should do his share around the house.

SO will also throw cans in the recycling with liquid still in them. I have explained to him several times that it is just a PAPER bag, and the liquid makes the bottom of the bag fall out, and it leaks through to the floor. He claims to understand, but I'm not convinced....

This weekend he is visiting his home town, so his mom gets to clean up after him! I'll be glad when he gets back, but it's nice to have a little break every so often. I sometimes feel like I have a 31-year old toddler to take care of!

I can't even say its just my kids! My DH also ignores it!!!!!Then I have to nag him to take it out!(I refuse- I do everything else I will not do the trash!!)
Deanie:)

OK - I'll admit it - I cram and hope that DH will empty it before it's too full. I have to have one fault, don't I??:+
