If I need some more calories and I have eaten my meals and a snack or 2 and it is say 7-8pm, what is a good snack? Should I whip a protein shake? I don't like anything real heavy before bed and i am in bed by 9-9:30. Thanks for any advice.
Personally, I like sugar free, fat free chocolate pudding (or any combo of sf/ff depending on how many calories you're looking for). One serving isn't very big, but it satisfies cravings for sweets and adds a dairy serving into my day.
I like to have some cottage cheese or some plain yogurt with 1/2 a serving of protein powder sprinkled on it. Sometimes I will just have a mixed greens salad with some lowfat dressing.
