When do you start wearing Maternity Clothing?

This may seem silly but thought some other ladies might relate.
I am only 3 months pregnant. I recently told family and co workers /
friends I am expecting. I wait just because I fear losing the baby
and in all honesty do not like alot of attention. I still fit
into my normal clothing. I guess its more in my head than anything
but feel uncomfortable. It's that inbetween stage where it is too
soon for maternity wear but I feel akward in my form fitted work
clothes. I try to wear my shirts untucked but I just can't seem
to feel anything other than something the cat dragged in.
Does anyone else feel this way. I hate to wish away the
early pregnancy months. This is my last baby so I am trying to
enjoy the pregnancy.

Thank you!
Suzanne

Hi Suzanne,

I remember those days! I had to go to maternity clothes right around my third month with my first pregnancy, and actually at two months with my twin pregnancy. Remember that if you've already carried a baby, your body will change much more quickly the second time around! I know you must feel kind of Ugh right now, especially if you're having nausea too.

I found that some of my clothes I could still wear if I took a ponytail holder and looped it through the button hole and around my pants button. That's really the only trick I ever used.

Like you said, just try to enjoy the pregnancy!

Congrats,
Tricia

I am due 8/8/07, so I know what you are feeling! I have some jeans from Old Navy that only have a small elastic band at the top. I started wearing these this week and they fit tight, but comfortable - they do not look maternity. Other than those jeans, I have been wearing longer shirts a size up then I normally buy. I also am wearing a couple of pants that are one size up in regular clothing. I am trying to enjoy it too, but sometimes it is uncomfortable in those inbetween stages!

Thank you Tricia and Debbie. I know it's not a biggie but it's
something bothering me especially getting ready in the morning.
I know it is just a phase and it too shall pass onto something
else. I appreciate your suggestions!!!

Suzanne :)

I began to wear maternity clothes around 20 weeks with all pregnancies. I did wear my "stretchy" normal clothes before 20 weeks. Good luck, I"m sure you look great!
