Love Neil Young--Harvest and Heart of Gold are fantastic! And, believe me, during this administration, I have definitely blasted "Rockin' in the Freeworld" more times than I can remember!

And I like country, but not what seems to pass for country now. I think Hank Williams was a poet. George Jones, Emmylou Harris, Steve Earle, Lyle Lovett, Johnny Cash, Roseanne Cash, Patsy Cline, Buck Owens, Junior Brown, Ralph Stanely, the Carter Family, Kitty Wells....love 'em!

Donna, you might want to check out David Byrne's internet station, www.davidbyrne.com/radio/. He has a different playlist every month, and he once did a month of classic country artists and some pretty interesting history. Each month is completely different; it might be just Brazilian music,jazz, new wave, world music---usually with a nice write-up on what his thinking was in choosing the genre and the artists. This month it's his version of pop music: Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Feist, Yo La Tengo, Beck, Nico, Sufjan Stevens, Gnarls Barkely, Arcade Fire, etc. It's really cool. C'mon, it's David Byrne...how can it not be!

I have some Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, George Strait, George Jones, Conway Twitty, Merle Haggard, Dwight Yoakam, etc. on my iPod. Just not as many as the artists I listed. I have quite a range of musical interests.

Oh I've also got Sinatra and the rest of the rat pack (Deano and Sammy Davis Jr.) Ella, Louis Armstrong, Louis Prima, Keely Smith, Glenn Miller Orchestra, Billy Holiday. I also have a huge Celtic music collection, with lots of my cds in Irish, Scots-Gaelic and Galician. All in all I have music in about 5 languages. So yeah, you can say I like music:7 :7!

There are some popular songs or groups I like, but usually rule of thumb is if it's really popular and playing everywhere, it's safe to say I don't listen to it:p}(. There is way too much rubbish playing on the radio these days, so I am going to buy an iTrip to ease the pain of my very long commute.:)
