Whatcha doin' this 4th of July weekend?

Just checkin' what you are all doing this proud weekend. I'll start.... NOTHING!! Just kidding... sort of. We'll be together as a family this weekend. We're going to see The Last Airbender (I swear, my son would go to a midnight showing if he could!! Not happening for a seven year old!) :eek::rolleyes:

May go to the Monument CO Biggest Small Town Parade (it really is surprisingly big!). Just gonna hang out, maybe see some friends, go to the pool for sure. None of us like to travel on "big" Holidays.

So, whatcha up to??

That sounds like a PERFECT weekend!!! Let us know your thoughts on The Last Airbender; I'm contemplating seeing this one.

I off Fri-Tues from my 9-5 and I am SO happy about that!!! I do liquor promos part time and the 4th is really busy for us, so unfortunately I'll be working that job Fri-Sun, but it's a fun gig so I don't really mind. Sunday night we are going up to CT to visit my friend, Mon night we are going to see Faith No More in Brooklyn, and Tues night we are going to see Lady Gaga in the city!! Can't wait!!!!! :)

Of course I will be working out this weekend too lol.
 
We've got nothing on tap, too. Thinking of maybe having my dad and his wife over Sunday for grilling, but not sure yet. Not sure I want to deal with it. :eek: They're cool peeps and all, but its still extra cooking and dishes.

We may go to the zoo, they have a new bear and wolf habitat I want to see. One of my coworkers says she may have free passes, and we can have them if she does. She's a member, so she gets passes as well. Free is good. :)

I think this is the 1st year none of the relatives are having a picnic, or they are, and we just haven't been invited!

I like long, nothing weekends. DH is taking Fri off as well, so he has an extra day to putter in the yard.

No formal plans for us!:D Our 11th anniversary is Saturday so maybe we'll "light some fireworks":p:p:D to celebrate!!!
 
My dad turns 70 on the 3rd. So my younger sis and her DH are coming in from N Carolina. I'm hosting his BDay party; we were going to do a BIG shin-dig but he asked that we keep it small and limit it to immediate family and close friends. Still....I'm having about 30 people here Saturday afternoon. Then pretty much a REPEAT of the same for the 4th on Sunday! LOL

There is a local Firecracker 4 mile race on Sunday which I may do with my running group, not sure yet!

I have a 4 day weekend ahead of me. DH and I will be joining my mom and her S/O down in Atlantic City for the long weekend. Leaving tmrw morning and coming home Monday morning. It will be a weekend of playing, drinking, eating, shopping and the beach!!!!!!

I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
 
It's Canada Day July 1st!:D I have a five day weekend, going to my mom's cottage at the lake with the whole extended family. Hopefully will do some waterskiing, swimming, bonfires and stuff like that. It's supposed to be hot.
 
WOW! Lot's of happy birthday and anniversary wishes! I'll be sure to let you all know about the Last Airbender!!

We are going to our shore house in Ocean City NJ. I'm leaving in four hours and am counting down the minutes. (5 p.m. can't get here quickly enough!). Staying over until Tuesday, so it should be a nice long weekend.
