What to do about blisters on bottom of foot?

I spent yesterday with my cousin and her husband and kids at MarineWorld, a local animal/amusement park in my area. After spending the whole day walking around, getting soaked on water rides, walking around some more, baking in the sun, riding coasters, seeing shows I wound up with two blisters on the bottom of my left foot that are really tender! So, do I pop them open? And should I forgo working out until I'm more comfortable or is there something I can do so I can work out? Any suggestions would be great!

Thanks a bunch:)
Sabine

p.s. Thanks to the ladies who answered my previous post about getting back into my workouts after taking time out to do some redecorating. Your words were so very encouraging.

Hey Sabine,

Go to the store & buy some Band Aid blister block/guard pads. They are a little pricy, $6/7 for 5/6 but they are AWESOME. It will stick to your foot through about a week of showers & shoe wearing. It sticks to the whole thing so when it does come off, so will the skin. Replace it right away. Keep one on until the blisters are about healed (2 weeks). I keep a stock of these in the house during the early summer months "breaking in" my sandals. I always get a blister from the little strap that goes between the big & first toe. If I put a blister guard on after the blister forms I can still wear my sandals!

Don't buy the knock off brand, I tried a store brand once & they didn't work as well.
