What size TV screen do you watch to work out?

I have been doing my Cathe workouts from a little TV for the last few years and was accustomed to seeing her and the crew "little" and kind of blurry since I'm near-sighted and refuse to wear glasses when I exercise. But my husband surprised me on Christmas with a 32-inch flat screen TV for my workout room. What a difference!!!!! It's like Cathe and the crew are right there in the room with me! It was kind of like a new experience! Anyway, just sharing my fun. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!:p

Mine's 36 inches--it's my living room TV--but of course right now it's invisible b/c the tree blocks my view (not from my couch, but from my step!).

Last Christmas we replaced our old rear projection big screen with a 45" LCD & a Bose surround sound and I too feel like I'm right there with Cathe.

Enjoy your new TV!

I have my 20" TV from college in my workout area/garage... Works great - but I would love to have her on a 32" as well... :)

It's a 32 inch tv. It's actually the best tv in the house! Don't know how that happened...just the way it was done when we moved in. lol It's actually the tv from my bedroom at my mom's so I guess it's fair right? :p

My workout TV is in my bedroom and is a 13". Yep, it's very small. I would dearly love to workout to the 52" HD LCD in the family room. Unfortunately, I would have to carry my weights back up and down the stairs everyday. There is no place to put them in the family room :(

We are remodeling our upstairs...someday...if the contractor every gets us the contract...unbelievably slow.

Anyhow, when we are done, our existing bedroom will be turned into the fitness room :7 And, I hope to put a bigger TV in there. If there is any money left.....:-(

I was working out in the family room to our 40" Sony LCD Flat Screen - and yep, Cathe and crew were right there with me! My hubby equipped the garage with a 27" flat screen and a DVD player, so now I work out there - my weights are very handy and I don't have to rearrange furniture to workout. It's not as personal, but it certainly cuts down prep time!

DH and I gave ourselves one heckuva gift for Christmas this year. It's a 60" flat screen and it is da bomb! Cathe is LIFE SIZE on this thing! I think she is going to jump out of the tv at me. I can also see the expressions on her crews faces up close and personal - it is really nice to see that I am not alone in my suffering!!!!

Mine is a 20 inch I think. It's mounted up on the wall, so it can't be any bigger. I don't spend a lot of time looking at the screen though... I go mostly by sound.

When I'm on vacation, I work out to a laptop screen, and that doesn't bother me either!

I workout in my dusty unfinished basement (along with numerous spiders) using a 32 inch TV. It's the perfect size for me.

Shelbygirl,

You're brave! I HATE spiders! I've only ever seen one in our unfinished basement (where I work out to a 36" tv), but it was BIG. They just give me the creeps. We had lots like it in our garage and had our entire outside, garage and house sprayed (luckily my husband's dad does bug killer stuff for a living so he didn't charge us) because I'm such a freak about it!

I workout to a 32" and it's just fine for me but I also have good eyesight. Actually we just bought a 42" plasma for the upstairs loft, so I went to check out how she looked on Lowmax. It was allright. I'd just be afraid I'd get so into it, I'd do a mambo-cha-cha or a flying angel right off the ledge onto the first floor, through rails & all.

I think mine's 25". Much bigger (unless it were flat to the wall), and it would seem to take up too much room in my rather small living room.

Susan,

I'm okay with the spiders as long as they don't crawl too close. The worst is when you are down on the floor doing ab work and out of the corner of your eye you see something scatter across the floor. Or, when you go to pick up a pair of dumbbells off the floor and there is one of those big black spiders just hanging out under there. Otherwise, we all manage to get a long just fine!

>I'm jealous of those of you who get to

The largest screen mentioned here is 60" (and since TV measurement refer to diagonal dimensions, it's probably only 55" high). I know Cathe's on the short side, but I wouldn't call that "life-sized"!

I have a 65" Mitsubishi rear projection TV. We bought the set for the very deep family room in our old house. The 65" is too big for the family room in our new house (open floor plan w/ lots of windows and no wall large enough for it!) So we finished the bonus room which is now my new exercise room and moved the 65" TV up there. It's overkill but I've worked out w/ it for years so I'm used to it. People aren't life sized, but I do feel like I'm part of "the crew"!!

Oh, ahem . . . my bad. Correction - she's about 7 inches less than life-sized.x(
