What should I do next?

I am wanting a life style change and realistically. I know I can only change or focus on one thing at a time. Right now my goal is the working out part. I have been trying to work out five times a week. Once I feel like I am having to spend less energy on getting this done I would like to change one thing about my eating. What would be a good thing? I was kinda thinking on eating more fiber. I know I will not cut out all sweets or not eat starch. I need something doable and fiber I can handle. What do you all think?

It is a laudable idea, both to make lifestyle changes, to add them in gradually, 1 or 2 at a time and to add more fibre.

You are setting healthy and realistic goals for yourself, so congrats!

Your decision to eat more fibre would be even better if you set out to make sure that you increase fibre not just from grains and legumes, but from actually eating the 7-9 servings of vegetables and fruits we are supposed to eat each day. That way you kill 2 birds with one stone and your health and energy levels will reflect your good work for the rest of your life, if you transform these changes into habit.

Good luck to you and remember, don't cut carbs from your diet. They are the source of energy your body needs to get you through Cathe workouts 5 times per week! Simply make sure that the carbs you eat are not of the nutritionally useless kind, like cake, cookies, donuts, etc.
