What on earth is a fanny lifter?

It's a 2 part, 14 inch high, ~17 inch across plastic step that was created by The FIRM production company's GoodTimes Inc.

The bottom piece (blue plastic) of the FL is 8". The top piece (purple plastic) is 6". The two pieces fit together to create the 14" step platform. The 14" step is very good (actually excellent) for sculpting and toning the lower body, particularly hamstrings and glutes.

The Step Company is producing a high step, which will have height/width dimensions of the FL, except instead of being 2 pieces, the top part will be ~4" and you will have the ability to add multiple 2" risers to create a taller platform.

Save your money, and don't buy the FL. It is not high quality, and I think it will crack or break if you try any high impact moves on it. Instead, get either the wooden 14" step that is used in FitPrime and older FIRM videos. Or else, just wait for the high step from The Step Company. That's what many people on this board are waiting for. :p

I'm definitely excited about the High Step. I can't wait. Do you think the success of the Fanny Lifter infomercials convinced the Step Company to finally produce the High Step?

>Its a good concept but poorly made.

Makes a good portable computer table, though!

I have a rubbermaid tool box that I got from Target for 13.00 that works just as well...and it can withstand 1,000n pounds!!!

It's also a great table for my two year old, but I do use it for exercise a lot, too. It may be poorly made, but it works for me.
