What Is Your Favorite Holiday..Why?

This is a tough one, because there's so many things that make me like various holidays!

For example, I love Columbus Day because it's the one holiday that I get off from work that my DD has to go to school on! I know that probably sounds selfish, but its a day I get to myself and those are so rare!

I love Thanksgiving because my hubby has an enormous family and we all get together for the meal - everyone brings a dish or two and there's one huge meal, and one huge clean up and lots of visiting and fun. I just love it!

Christmas is wonderful too, but I think I enjoyed it more as a child - the stress of finding extra $$ for the gifts has made it tough for me lately but it's still a beautiful holiday. I love it. I agree with another poster too that Fall is a beautiful time of year...probably because of all the nice holidays that are coming, but its also just so beautiful where we live - the trees are so pretty with the changing colors and the weather starts to get cooler. I love it!

Christmas, cuz I love to see my kids excitement. And July 4 cuz I love spending the day playing games @ the pool, bbq-ing for dinner and then watching the fireworks.

I decorated the house in fall things today-the outside of the house too!:7 I channeled Martha, and it looks adorable! Happy Halloween everyone. Oh, and I didn't eat one snack sized Snickers today.

My birthday of course! Which is close to Valentine's Day. But my favorite holiday is St. Patrick's. Any excuse to go to Five Points and drink beer. As well as have great beef and cabbage. . My other favorite holiday is Halloween where we neighbors get together. Any excuse for us to party. And college football is always a holiday. and I wonder why during college football season I can't lose weight . Annette

Christmas b/c I love being reminded of the birth of Christ and all that it means to me. Also, b/c Christmas was such a big time of celebration and relaxation for my family. I have MANY happy, happy memories associated with Christmas. I LOVE Chrismas music. Christmas reminds me of my HOPE and JOY. It reminds me to take hope and joy through the mundane days and through the times of change and uncertainty that pop up in life. I've already started playing Christmas music....
