What is this 6 month STS rotation??

Clarissa

Cathlete
and how is it designed?? Do you just repeat each Meso twice before moving to the next one or...??? TIA!!

Clarissa

Hey Clarissa! If you want to do the 6 month rotation, Cathe advised you do it like this:

Week 1: Do discs 1, 2 and 3
Week 2: Do discs 1, 2 and 3
Week 3: Do discs 4, 5 and 6
Week 4: Do discs 4, 5 and 6
And so on...

Just repeat each week twice and take your rest week at the end of each 8 week meso. HTH!

Hi Clarissa - I just started STS 6 month on Monday. I feel great and the time seems to go by so fast. I found the rotation on the Workout Manager, which plugs in which disc for which day and includes the rest week. I really like the Workout Manager, it organizes things so nicely. Have fun!

This answers my "What is the 6-month rotation?" question, so now my question is "why"? What is the difference between doing the program in 3 months versus 6? Why would you want to extend it?

I am finally starting STS now, after having it sitting on a shelf for six months! I had moved on to other things between ordering it and actually receiving. All the success stories I'm hearing now, though, are making me curious about how it will work for me. I've really been skeptical about working muscle groups only once per week (my routine had been twice), but apparently it's working for a lot of people. How could I ever doubt Cathe?

dh and i just completed week THREE and already see substantial results!!! thinner thighs already!!! doing 3 month for now though...

Cathe stated in a post that she originally thought to have STS be a 6-month rotation, but felt there were many people who would be unwilling or unable to commit to that length of time. She is the one who recommended doing each week twice before moving on to the next one if people were interested in extending the rotation past three months. She also suggested only doing the Meso 3 weeks one time through, rather than twice, which makes it short of a 6-month rotation, but most people are still calling it that.

As you probably experienced if you have started Meso 1, it moves very quickly. I found that repeating the weeks helped me get a better, smoother workout the second time through since I had notes from the week before and knew better what to expect.

Thank you, Nancy, for such a thorough explanation. I've now done disk one and disk three (I was too sore after disk one to feel ready for another upper body workout two days later!), and I'm going to go with the six-month rotation. I like the idea of having more experience with a disk the second time around and feeling like I know what I'm doing, rather than having to wait three months to do a particular disk again, should I decide to repeat the program twice in a row. Also, it gives me that much longer before I'll have to decide "what's next."
