What do you workout in?

So, I did something stupid. Somehow, I managed to wash and dry my two sports bras. Now, they are very loose, and won't support me. I am taking this opportunity to replace my entire workout wardrobe.

What do you workout in?

Valerie :)

I've got a couple different bras--some from Victoria's Secret (purchased a few years ago), some from Marika. For pants, I wear yoga pants or marika shorts.

I'm actually thinking of having the old man order a bra from VS for me for Valentine's Day.

I have a whole collection of workout tops (sports bra length, waist length racer back, etc.) and bottoms (capri, shorts, boot leg) to choose from. I've collected them over several years, from Carushka sales (they are now out of business), Walmart, Target, the Reebok factory outlet (where I get an extra 20% off with my AAA card), Hot Skins. What I wear depends on the season (shorts in summer, longer iin winter), and my activity (softer, looser clothes for yoga, tougher-looking stuff for kickboxing).

I don't have any Cathe workout gear so I workout in whatever I can find. Usually a bikini top of some kind and just plain sweatpants.

I too have an eclectic collection. But I always get sports bras now from Title 9. But they are various brands: Champion, ASICS, Marika. Ditto for the shorts. Moving Comfort, Nike, whatever.

I sometimes get pants at Fleet Feet.

On top: sports bras with lots of support (36D chest here) that double as tops. I also have a racerback tank with a built-in bra that I wear. I love Title 9 and Activa for bras and buy mostly Champion and Moving Comfort.

On bottom: various shorts from Carushka or Title 9, or longer bootcut stretchy pants - I like Old Navy's yoga pants.

I have some bootleg pants and shorts from Title Nine. And a bunch of sweat soaked, stinky tank tops from Old Navy.

I plan to treat myself in the Spring and get something from Active U!

Skimpy sports bras in Summer, with short 3" inseam shorts. Waist length, racer back sports bra/tops a la Cedie for rest of year with shorts same.

I can never wear long workout bottoms as Cathe does. I get way too hot. Even in Winter I have to windows open to workout.

I get all my gear from Marshalls, TJMaxx at reduced prices. I have a collection of marika, Nike, Addidas, Avia tops and bottoms and i never pay more than 12.99 for any single piece. Buying from discount stores allows me to build up a collection and not break the bank.

Like Clare, I get most of my stuff from Marshalls, although I have to have very supportive bras & they come mostly from Title 9. I still have to wear two though, if I'm going to be jumping a lot. ~sigh~

I wear capri length workout pants usually although sometimes I'll wear full-length yoga pants. VERY lightweight socks (microfiber) and a decent shoe.

And there you have it!

I usually work out in a sports bra and my 1985 style shorts. Somehow I always get too hot and regret wearing long workout pants or sweats. Then it's a challenge to see how fast I can change into shorts!

OK - it depends if I am at home or around people;) At home, I wear my champion sportbra, maybe a tee shirt, my undies, socks and workout shoes. I have to open the windows too. I get too hot wearing any more indoors.
Outside or at the gym, light sweats or shorts.

Sport bras and bottoms from Target. They are great for home workouts and have some nice styles. I spend very little to workout in my rec room. No one ever really sees me and when they do, I get the comment, "eeewww, you're sweatty, gross." (mainly from my kids, but dh once in awhile too.):p

I usually will not work out in long pants either-too hot. And I also open a window when I work out in the winter as well as turn on my ceiling fan! In the summer--a/c on full blast baby and usually have the ceiling fan on as well!

I have a couple pairs of nothin' special cotton or terry shorts and some sports bras I have collected over the years and I usually throw on a tank over the sports bra...I don't know why as I work out in my own home...I just do...

So yeah, I basically work out in rags...lol...but I don't work out at a gym so buying "pretty" work out clothes is a waste for me.... ;(

Have a great work out!

It used to be "nothing" but I've changed my ways:)

I never buy workout clothes in cotton-the constant washing just seem to fade them so fast. I need the polyesyer/lycra or microfiber- it still looks brand new 100 washes later!

I usually wear a sports bra/tankini (no specific brands- just what I like) and I have a few pairs of Ativa bootleg pants I bought from Dick's Sporting Goods which I ABSOLUTELY LOVE. I workout in my basement so in the winter it gets really cold so I need my pants.

In the summer I wear Ativa workout shorts which are also unbelievably comfortable.

At the gym, capri pants made of supplex with a Shebeest biking shirt, and a Champion sports bra underneath. This is my sports bra, and I love it: http://www.title9sports.com/shoppin...e=PRODUCT&iMainCat=4&iSubCat=25&iProductID=72
I'm a 34D, so the sports bra is non-negotiable.

At home when I do my strength training with Cathe, I don't even need a sports bra, so I just wear my regular bra and underwear. I look pretty funny with my socks and sneakers on (for lunges), but what the hey?

Nancy, you sound like me. Sometimes I even do my workout in the pajamas I wore the night before. I know, I shouldn't, but it's less laundry. :)

Someone once said that you SHOULD workout, and also eat naked infront of a full length mirror because it automatically made you "more" aware of your body

Well! I tryed it once and all it did was make me cry!............Boo Hoo

You have to stay in shape. My Grandmother started walking when she was 60. Today she is 97 and we don't know where the hell she is! - Ellen DeGeneres

I wouldn't even do most workouts barefoot, let alone bare @$$ naked!
