what do you think of computerized sewing machines

I haven't sewn in years, but am wanting to return to it and I would definitely get a computerized machine! I have a friend who has a surger, but she does a lot of quilting and she loves that she can program work into her machine. It really saves some time. There is enough in sewing that is still "old fashioned" that to save myself the hassle with things like buttonholes and zippers would be a dream come true!

I have a Pfaff Computerized sewing machine, a Pfaff single needle quilter and a Pfaff serger.

I had sewing factory with well over 100 machines that I sold 13 years ago and I had a mixture of Brother and Pfaff machines. The main reason I bought Pfaff's for home sewing was the metal bobbin cases and on the computerized machine, the walking foot feature (there is a foot on the top fabric that walks the top layer of fabric just like the bottom feed dogs).

I love my single needle quilter as it is just like an industrial, fast and easy to work with. My Pfaff computerized machine is lovely, but I have spent too many years using super fast industrials, so I get a little frustrated when it doesn't sew as fast.

I have had my serger for about 20 years, it works well and doesn't give me any issues.

I love Pfaffs IDT feature. My machine is computerized. I would love to have a Baby Lock serger some day, . . ho hum they just cost a lot. I think industrial machines are great if all you want is a straight stitch but I love the other features of a home machine.
